Modern combat activity of servicemen of the Airborne Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine takes place in extreme conditions and is characterized by diversity, tension and specificity, significant physical loads, which leads to high requirements for the physical readiness of servicemen, in particular for their versatility – readiness to act in any conditions, environment, time of day. The aim of the article is to investigate the relationship between indicators of physical and combat training in paratrooper cadets. The study was conducted at the Military Academy (Odesa) at the Airborne Assault Troops Specialist Training Faculty in 2020- 2021. 256 male cadets took part in the study. Two groups were formed: Group No. 1 (n=40), whose cadets worked in the Crossfit classes of the academy during their studies, and Group No. 2 (n=216), whose cadets practiced according to the current system of physical training at the academy and did not additionally attend none of the sports classes. The cadets’ physical fitness was assessed by the results of 100 m run, pull-ups, overcoming an obstacle course, 3 km run. The standards of combat training included: landing of personnel in a helicopter; movement on the battlefield; occupying a trench, firing position; delivery of ammunition under enemy fire; packing combat kit into combat vehicles and others. A high level of correlation between the indicators of physical training of cadets of group No. 1, formed in the process of Crossfit classes, and the results of their compliance with combat training standards was revealed. This allows us to assert the effectiveness of Crossfit classes in improving the indicators of military-professional (combat) activity of paratrooper cadets.
The article examines the dynamics of the development of paratrooper cadets’ physical qualities in the process of military-professional training under the influence of crossfit classes. 95 cadets (men) of the Military Academy (Odesa) took part in the study. Two groups were formed: EG (n=47) and CG (n=48) from the cadets aged 18-22 with reliably identical indicators of physical qualities (р>0.05). EG cadets engaged in crossfit classes according to the authors’ methodology, CG cadets trained according to the current method of physical training. The analysis of the dynamics of physical qualities development was carried out based on the results of cadets’ testing for: 100 m run, pull-ups, overcoming an obstacle course, 3 km run. The high effectiveness of the authors’ methodology of developing physical qualities in paratrooper cadets using crossfit, compared to the current method of physical training, has been proven. At the end of the experiment, a significantly (р≤0.05-0.001) better level of physical qualities development was found in EG cadets compared to CG, according to all tests.
The article is devoted to the study of the influence of high-intensity functional training according to the "Crossfit" system on indicators of physical development and functional capabilities of cadets who are future officers of the Airborne Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine during the training process. The study was conducted at the Military Academy (Odesa, Ukraine) at the Airborne Assault Troops Specialist Training Faculty in 2020-2021. 256 male cadets took part in the study. Two groups were formed: Group 1 (n=40), whose cadets during their training worked out in the crossfit section of the academy, and Group 2 (t=216), whose cadets worked out according to the current system of physical training at the academy and did not additionally attend any of the sports sections. The physical state of the cadets was assessed according to the indicators: body length, body weight, hand dynamometry, heart rate, blood pressure, lungs capacity, as well as according to the calculated indices. A positive effect of high-intensity functional training according to the "Crossfit" system on indicators of cadets’ physical state, especially in the 3rd and 4th years of training, has been established. The most pronounced effect of functional training was found in the indicators of the cardiovascular system, body weight, and cadets’ strength qualities. This allows us to assert that the high level of cadets’ physical state will contribute to the improvement of the effectiveness of the tasks assigned in the course of their future military and professional activities.
The aim of the article is to find out the requirements of the professional combat activity of servicemen of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to their physical and psychological preparedness. Methods: theoretical analysis and generalization of scientific and methodical literature, Internet data networks, documentary method. On the basis of the analysis of open literary sources, the peculiarities of the professional and combat activities of servicemen of the Special Operations Forces (SOF) of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and NATO member countries have been clarified. Their purpose and main tasks are disclosed. The historical aspects of the formation of the SOF have been studied. The typical tasks of the SOF have been clarified, including: modern combat operations and raids; psychological operations; work of "civil administration"; obtaining intelligence information on the front line; creation of agency networks; aid; search, evacuation and delivery of prisoners, hostages; preparation for coups, overthrow of regimes; introduction into the structure of military organizations and special services for the purpose of espionage or destruction of people who pose a threat to the state; anti-terrorist operations; detection, identification, determination of targets for own means of destruction. This determines the high requirements for the physical and psychological training of the personnel of the SOF.
