The aim is to carry out a comparative analysis of the effectiveness of the traditional system of physical education of students in higher pedagogical education establishments and authors’methodical system of fitness technologies application. Materials and methods: Two hundred thirty two students of Zhytomyr Ivan Franko State University (n=232; 88 males and 144 females) aged from 18 to 20 years old took part in the research. Two experimental groups (EG, 47 males and 71 females) and two control groups (CG, 41 males and 73 females) were formed. Students were offered the following modern types of fitness technologies: power fitness, aerobics, Pilates, swimming, yoga, tae-bo. Results: The positive effect of the authors’ methodical system of fitness technologies application in comparison with the traditional system of physical education has been achieved – according to all the criteria of the research, the indicators of EG students (both males and females) are significantly better than those of the students from CG. Сonclusions: It proves the necessity for the modern fitness technologies application in the educational process of physical education in higher education pedagogical establishments with the aim of improving the state of physical fitness, health of students and increasing their motivation for independent physical exercises and healthy lifestyles in the future.
The CrossFit training's influence on the morphofunctional state (morphological and functional indicators) of cadets who are the future officers of the Ukrainian Air Assault Forces is studied in the paper. The research was conducted at the Odesa Military Academy (Ukraine) at the Faculty of Air Assault Forces training in 2018-2020. 90 male cadets took part in the research. We formed two groups: experimental group (EG, N=45), the cadets of which were training in the academy CrossFit classes during sports and mass work, and control group (CG, N=45), the cadets of which were training according to the traditional classes of physical training. The morphological (conditional) indicators of cadets were assessed in terms of such indicators as height, body weight, handgrip test, body mass index, power index. Their functional state was examined in terms of the following indicators: heart rate at rest, blood pressure, vital capacity, life index, Robinson index, and heart rate recovery after physical activity. The positive influence of CrossFit classes on the morphofunctional state of paratrooper cadets was established. In senior years of study, the indicators of the cadets of EG were significantly (р<0.05-0.001) more advanced than those of the cadets of CG by all indicators studied. The most pronounced influence of CrossFit training was found in terms of the indicators of the cardiovascular system, body weight, and power qualities of
The article investigates the influence of the CrossFit system classes on the level and dynamics of the development of cadets’ power qualities in the process of training at a higher military educational institution (HMEI). The study involved cadets of the 1st-4th years (n=40) of the Odessa Military Academy, who were divided into experimental (EG, n=20) and control (CG, n=20) groups. EG cadets trained in the academy’s crossfit section, CG cadets trained according to the traditional physical training system at HMEI. Among the advantages of the CrossFit system are: the lack of equipment costs; a short period of time is required to do a set of exercises; a possibility of organizing outdoor training, in a gym, within a limited space; a possibility of organizing training with a large group of servicemen; a wide range of exercises eliminates the adaptation to the same type of physical load; a possibility of conducting training sessions with military servicemen with different levels of physical fitness. Analysis of the development of cadets’ power qualities was carried out according to the following exercises: pull-up, lifting by coup, lifting by strength on the crossbar, 24 kg kettlebell snatch, push-up on the parallel bars. It was found that that the level of power qualities development among cadets who trained according to the CrossFit system was significantly (p˂0.05) better at senior years of study than among cadets who trained according to the traditional physical training system. This allows us to argue about the need to implement crossfit means in the various forms of physical training of cadets of the academy in order to increase their physical readiness for future professional activities.
Modern combat activity of servicemen of the Airborne Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine takes place in extreme conditions and is characterized by diversity, tension and specificity, significant physical loads, which leads to high requirements for the physical readiness of servicemen, in particular for their versatility – readiness to act in any conditions, environment, time of day. The aim of the article is to investigate the relationship between indicators of physical and combat training in paratrooper cadets. The study was conducted at the Military Academy (Odesa) at the Airborne Assault Troops Specialist Training Faculty in 2020- 2021. 256 male cadets took part in the study. Two groups were formed: Group No. 1 (n=40), whose cadets worked in the Crossfit classes of the academy during their studies, and Group No. 2 (n=216), whose cadets practiced according to the current system of physical training at the academy and did not additionally attend none of the sports classes. The cadets’ physical fitness was assessed by the results of 100 m run, pull-ups, overcoming an obstacle course, 3 km run. The standards of combat training included: landing of personnel in a helicopter; movement on the battlefield; occupying a trench, firing position; delivery of ammunition under enemy fire; packing combat kit into combat vehicles and others. A high level of correlation between the indicators of physical training of cadets of group No. 1, formed in the process of Crossfit classes, and the results of their compliance with combat training standards was revealed. This allows us to assert the effectiveness of Crossfit classes in improving the indicators of military-professional (combat) activity of paratrooper cadets.
Power sports have always been very popular among servicemen and, especially, cadets of higher military educational institutions. In the process of power sports, cadets develop all physical qualities, strengthen the body, improve physical development. The article examines the indicators of physical development of cadets who were engaged in armwrestling during studying. A comparative analysis of the results obtained with similar indicators of cadets who were engaged in the current system of physical training and additionally did not go in for sports was carried out. The study involved cadets of the Odessa Military Academy. Two groups were formed: cadets who trained according to the current system of physical training (group 1, n=286), and cadets who trained in the armwrestling section of the academy (group 2, n=32). The physical development of the cadets was assessed according to the following indicators: body length, body weight, circumferential dimensions of the chest and waist, wrist dynamometry, body mass index, Erisman’s index, power index. Research methods: theoretical analysis and generalization of literature sources, medical and biological methods, statistical analysis. It was established that armwrestling classes have a positive effect on the level and dynamics of physical development of cadets during studying at the academy. It was found that among cadets of group 2, most of the indicators were significantly better (p<0.05–0.001) than among cadets of group 1, which makes it possible to recommend this kind of sport as a means of improving the physical development of cadets. The most pronounced influence of armwrestling was on the power capabilities of cadets (hand dynamometry, power index), chest circumference and Erisman’s index.
