Traditional children play is a suitable physical activity for instructional mean in kindergarten. The research intends to develop Traditional Children Play based instructional model to optimize development of fundamental motor skills of kindergarteners. This research used research and development approach from Borg & Gall. Research's subjects were traditional children play in DIY, and kindergartens in DIY. Data were collected by interview, observation, and ducoments analysis. Collected data were analyzed in three steps: organized and reducted, displayed, and summarized and verificated. The study was done with following activities: identification of theoretical basis and determination of instructional model design, identification and analysis of traditional children play, and validation of instructional model. After being validated by material experts and teaching experts, the traditional children play based instructional model for optimizing the development of kindergarteners' fundamental motor skills consists of: (1) concepts/theoretical basis, (2) activity stages, (3) social systems, (4) principles of reaction, (5) supporting system, and (6) model impact. Many physical education teachers for teachers with special needs use non-game-based learning material models in improving students' physical fitness related to health. The game is one of the important factors in physical education material to improve physical fitness related to health. The purpose of the study was to validate the game material to improve the physical fitness of children with special needs. The research method uses mixed qualitative and quantitative methods. Qualitative methods were used to draft the game material model, while the quantitative approach was used to test expert agreement. The research subjects were documents and seven experts. Data were collected using the Delphi technique and were analyzed using the Aiken formula. The results show that all aspects of the running train game material model, the wood saw game material model, the tire pumping game material model, and the waving palm tree game material model are considered to have high content validity.
The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of clock-wise and counter clock wise tetragonal jump on agility and sprint of senior high school students. The population of this research is male students of the Senior High School 12 Yogyakarta. The sample random sampling technique is utilized to select 75 students as the sample of this study. They are divided into two treatment groups and control groups. The data were analyzed by Anacova at significant level of 5%. This study concludes that the clock-wise tetragonal jump is more effective in increasing agility than counter clock-wise one. However, both clock-wise and counter clock wise tetragonal jump do not have significant effect on sprint. Keywords: tetragonal jump, agility, and sprint
This study was aimed at developing Majeda teaching learning model based on children plays in effort to improve the excitement and the activeness of kindergarteners and the guideline of use. The study was research and development of the Borg and Gall model designed in three stages: first, preliminary studies and learning model design; second, small-scale and large-scale pilotage of Majeda; and third, operational try-out of Majeda, the revision of the guideline, and drafting of dissemination plan. The study was conducted in ten kindergartens namely, PKK Widodo, Tunas Muda Kledokan, PKK Temanggal, ABA Klepu, Pedagogia, ABA KKN Pantai Baru, Pembina Galur, ABA Dlaban Pogangan Sentolo, Wonosari 1, and ABA Karangmojo XVII. The finding shows that play-based Majeda is able to increase the excitement and the activeness of the kindergarten students in learning. Uji lapangan Majeda Berbasis Dolanan Anak diselenggarakan di sepuluh Taman Kanak-Kanak (TK), yaitu TK PKK Widodo, TK Tunas Muda Kledokan, TK PKK Temanggal, TK ABA Klepu, TK Pedagogia, TK ABA KKN Pantai Baru, TKN Pembina Galur, TK ABA Dlaban Pogangan Sentolo, TKN 1 Wonosari, dan TK ABA Karangmojo XVII. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Majeda Berbasis Dolanan Anak mampu meningkatkan kegembiraan dan keaktifan siswa TK dalam pembelajaran.
