This research was conducted to determine the pattern of student trusteeship as academic, spiritual and character development. The author uses a qualitative approach to obtain relevant information. The results showed that guardianship of students was carried out in two forms, namely academic guidance and guidance that emphasized aspects of spirituality and character. Guardianship for academic guidance is carried out through the guidance of study plans, monitoring students on academic aspects, and providing motivation so that students experience academic improvement. Spiritual and character formation is carried out by holding joint prayers, guidance to get to know each group's spiritual gifts, personal and group counseling, and Bible study. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan untuk mengetahui pola perwalian mahasiswa sebagai pembinaan akademik, kerohania, dan karakter. Penulis menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif untuk memperoleh informasi yang relevan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perwalian terhadap mahasiswa dilaksanakan dalam dua bentuk yaitu bimbingan yang bersifat akademik dan bimbingan yang menekankan aspek kerohanian dan karakter. Perwalian untuk bimbingan akademik dilaksanakan melalui bimbingan rencana studi, pemantauan mahasiswa pada aspek akademik, dan pememberian motivasi agar mahasiswa mengalami peningkatan secara akademik. Pembinaan rohani dan karakter dilaksanakan dengan mengadakan doa bersama, bimbingan untuk mengenal karunia rohani masing-masing kelompok, konseling pribadi dan grup, dan pendalaman Alkitab.
This article deals with Boaz's redemption of Ruth as an Old Testament typology in explaining Christ's redemption in the New Testament. The formulation of the research problem is how is the relationship between the redemption of Ruth in the Old Testament and the redemption of Christ and the reflection of today's mission theology? The author uses historical methods (Historical Research) and descriptive methods (Descriptive Research), namely literature studies through supporting books and journals, regarding the redemption of Ruth by Boaz in the Old Testament and explaining Christ's redemption in the New Testament. From the context of redemption (go'el) in the Old Testament, the redeemer must have more ability or strength than someone who is redeemed. Because people who are redeemed are often described as weak or slave. Meanwhile, the context of redemption in the New Testament was immediately carried out by the Lord Jesus Christ through Christ's death on the cross and His resurrection to reveal redemption to all tribes, nations, who exist on earth as weak and sinful creatures, which is also the basis of mission theology for the message. Artikel ini membahas tentang penebusan Rut oleh Boas sebagai tipologi Perjanjian Lama dalam menjelaskan penebusan Kristus dalam PerjanjianBaru. Rumusan masalah penelitian ini adalah bagaimana kaitan penebusan Rut dalam Perjanjian Lama dan penebusan Kristus dan refleksi teologi misi masa kini? Penulis menggunakan metode historis (Historical Research) dan metode deskriptif (Descriptive Research) yaitu studi pustaka melalui buku-buku dan jurnal yang mendukung, tentang penebusan Rut oleh Boas dalam Perjanjian Lama dan menjelaskan penebusan Kristus dalam Perjanjian Baru. Dari konteks penebusan (go’el) di dalam Perjanjian Lama,penebusharus memiliki kemampuan atau kekuatan lebih dari seseorang yang ditebus. Karenaorang yang ditebussering digambarkan sebagai orang yang lemah atau budak. Sedangkan konteks penebusan di dalam Perjanjian Baru langsung dilakukan Tuhan Yesus Kristus melalui kematian Kristus di kayu salib dan kebangkitan-Nya untuk menyatakan penebusan kepada semua suku, bangsa, yang ada di bumi sebagai mahkluk yang lemah dan berdosa, yang sekaligus sebagai dasar teologi misi bagi pekabaran Injil bagi semua manusia berdosa. Penebusan yang dilakukan oleh Kristus bukan hanya kepada satu suku Israel saja, tetapi semua orang memiliki hak yang sama untuk mendapatkan keselamatan dan penebusan untuk hidup bersatu dengan Kristus.
Malam Satu Suro is a Javanese tradition has the preserving the cultural heritage of their ancestors. This tradition is carried out by the activity of ngumbah keris, performance of wayang kulit all night long, slametan and grave pilgrimage. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative research by exploring the meaning of activities or concepts developed by the Javanese community. After obtaining this meaning, the author describes in accordance with the perspective of Christian values. The results of the discussion of this text are that through the malam satu suro tradition, the Javanese people seek or have the hope of receiving salvation, the tradition is carried out as an effort to unite with God and an effort to abandon worldly characteristics. Thus, the concept built by the Javanese community in this tradition contains Christian values that have been written in the Scriptures. AbstrakMalam satu suro merupakan tradisi masyarakat Jawa yang memiliki sisi melestarikan budaya warisan leluhur nenek moyang. Tradisi ini dilakukan dengan kegiatan ngumbah keris, pergelaran wayang kulit semalam suntuk, slametan dan ziarah kubur. Metode yang dipakai dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif deskripsi dengan menggali makna dari adanya kegiatan atau konsep yang dibangun oleh masyarakat Jawa. Setelah mendapatkan makna tersebut, penulis mendeskripsikan sesuai dengan perspektif nilai-nilai kristiani. Adapun hasil dari pembahasan teks ini yaitu bahwa melalui tradisi malam satu suro, masyarakat Jawa mencari atau memiliki harapan menerima keselamatan, tradisi dilakukan sebagai upaya bersatu dengan Allah serta upaya menanggalkan sifat-sifat keduniawian. Dengan demikian, konsep yang dibangun oleh masyarakat Jawa dalam tradisi tersebut, di dalamnya terkandung nilai-nilai kristiani yang sudah tertulis dalam Kitab Suci.
The implications of the spiritual growth factors for Christian families based on Ephesians 5: 22-6: 4 for family formation in the church. This writing uses a hermeneutic literature study to analyze the text of Ephesians 5: 22-6: 4. The author also includes a qualitative descriptive analysis, in order to describe the discussion related to the Christian family to find implications for the formation of the Christian family in the church. From the results of the research, the author's interview with 5 young family members, the wives obey the authority of the husband as the head of the family as many as 4 participants, the husband in loving his wife by providing services to the welfare of the wife both physically and spiritually there are 4 participants, the children describe the role His obedience, namely depending on the attitude of the two parents, there are 3 participants and the parents (husband and wife) carry out their role in educating children by being spiritual role models through attitudes and actions, there are 3 participants. As an implication for family formation in the church, namely, the wife in her role of submission and respect to the husband, as the husband has the role of head and loves the wife, as children have an attitude of obedience and respect to both parents and as parents (husband and wife) has the role of not arousing children's anger and educating children in God's teachings.
