The present study aims at investigating the competence level of prospective English teachers through interactive lesson study which involved supervisions of teachers, lecturers, and student teachers themselves. A Classroom Action Research in the form of interactive lesson study model was conducted in four steps, namely planning, practicing, observing, and reflecting. Moreover, the research was administered in two cycles. Some instruments used in data collection were rubric of teaching practice, character checklist, questionnaire, and participatory observation form. The effectivity of approach could be analyzed based on the average scores of 30 student teachers yielded randomly in each cycle, which gradually increased compared to their pre-tests after interactive lesson study has been applied. In the first cycle, the competence of student teachers started to improve with the total score of 1730 and an average score of 58 for the attitude aspect, the total score of 2169 and an average score of 72 for the knowledge aspect, and the total score of 2198 and an average score of 73 on the skill aspect. The achievement of the students' score in cycle 1 was 68 with the medium category. In the second cycle, changes in student learning attitudes began to show significant improvement: total score of 2390 on attitude aspect with a mean of 80, a total score of 2416 on knowledge aspect with a mean of 81, and a total score of 2457 on skill aspect with a mean of 83. Student score gained in cycle II was 82 with the high category. In a nutshell, the ability of the students on their learning attitudes, knowledge, and writing skills were specified as high category with cultural attitude.
The Covid 19 pandemic has brought significant changes to the economy of Bali as a domestic and foreign tourist destination. The tourism sector, as the main contributor to the largest contributor to Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP), experienced a contraction, which had an impact on other sectors. One of the sectors affected in the agricultural sector, especially the marketing of food products. In the new normal era in Bali, it is necessary to strengthen the rural economy through the application of technology but the process of implementing these innovations is not always successful. The success of collective action is determined by the rational boundaries of society. The rational boundaries of society can be expanded by the presence of symmetrical information. The research objective was to analyze the role of collective action on the application of the Integrated System of Rice Ducks as an effort to increase farmers' income. This research is a case study in Subak Lanyah, Tabanan Sub District, Tabanan-Bali District. Primary data were collected through direct observation and questionnaires while secondary data were collected through literature studies. Analysis of the role of collective action in the application of the integrated system of rice ducks (STIP) was carried out statistically descriptive of farm costs and farmer income. The results showed that the STIP innovation as an effort to increase farmers' income was successfully implemented through Collective action. The collective action mechanism plays a role in strengthening social capital which encourages the application of STIP technology so that the income of Subak member farmers in Subak Lanyah, Tabanan-Bali increases. The success in implementing STIP technology is done by building a process of communication, trust, and networks of farmers with the government, private sector, and universities.of communication, trust, and networks of farmers with the government, private sector, and universities.
Introduction Ritual offerings cannot be partially separated from Balinese people's lives. Offerings are made as an immensely important part of a religious ceremony called Banten. These offerings are usually made from coconut or palm leaves for various kinds of ceremonies, either for God, humans, and the ancestors' spirit. The offerings makers are well known as serati. They, usually women, are skilful in making decorations with those leaves. Banten is believed as religious symbols of the universe. Instead of Hindu religious services, the needs of banten are economically valuable; therefore serati can set business for economic, cultural, and religious sustainability. One of the leader group of serati, Anak Agung Raka Pujiatmika is motivated to gather other members to preserve the art, culture, Hindu based spiritual heritage, and for prosperity as well. Her effort emphasizes the religious value for maintaining the great behavior of humans towards the environment, namely pawongan (human), pelemahan (environment), and Prahyangan (God). The serati can inspire and help other women in the village increase their prosperity by decorating the palm or coconut leafs as offerings to God for future blessings. This notion can lead the future generations to inherit a stock of resources, so they can enjoy a quality of life at least equal to that enjoyed by present generations; it then becomes apparent that economics has at its heart. The study of processes and behaviours are also of paramount importance to moving towards sustainability (Sunyoto, 1998; Sumodiningrat, 1998). Sustainability can be viewed as the organizing principle for sustaining existing but limited resources to provide for the needs for resources and desirable living conditions of the coming generations (Bell and Morse (2003), Musson (2013), and Bertoncelj et al. (2015). Similarly, sustainable development is defined as development that meets the needs and aspirations of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. In Bali, this conception has been generated for ages known as Tri Hita Karana. The value of this local wisdom sets the harmonic relationship between human and human, human and environment, human and God. Balinese people have this great heritage which can be found in ritual activities.
