The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is a relationship of learning styles to student learning outcomes in learning biology. The strength of the relationship can be seen in the interpretation of the correlation table. This research is ex post facto with research subjects are students of class X SMAN 2 Sungaitarab the 2015/2016 academic year are 71 people with the sampling technique used was random sampling with an error rate of 5%. Data collection method for variable learning style is by questionnaire, while studying biology outcome variables using vocational school documentation data analysis technique used is the product moment correlation with the level of significance of the analysis results is set at 5%. The results showed that there are no significant and positive relationship between learning styles to student learning outcomes in learning biology, this is evidenced by rhitung (0.089)
<p class="StyleAuthorBold"><strong>Abstrak</strong></p><p>Penelitian bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan profil keterampilan berpikir kritis dan kreatif mahasiswa jurusan komputer di Kota Padang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuisioner yang dibuat menggunakan <em>google form</em> kemudian disebarkan kepada responden penelitian yang berjumlah 115 mahaiswa. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu analisis deskriptif dengan menggunakan persentase per indikator. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan berpikir kritis mahasiswa tergolong rendah pada indikator memberikan penjelasan lebih lanjut dan menarik kesimpulan, serta keterampilan berpikir kreatif untuk berpikir secara lancar dan orisinil mahasiswa masih rendah.</p><p> </p><p class="StyleAuthorBold"><strong><em>Abstract</em></strong></p><p><em>The research aimed to describe the critical and creative thinking skills profiles of students majoring in computer in the city of Padang. The research method used descriptive research. Data were collected through a questionnaire made using google form and then distributed to 115 respondents. The data analysis technique used descriptive analysis using percentages per indicator. The results showed that the students' critical thinking skills were low on the indicators of providing further explanation and drawing conclusions, and the students' creative thinking skills to think fluently and originally were still low.</em></p>
The eruption of Mount Agung has an immense impact on Bali, especially in the economic sector of the tourism business. The locations which are far from Gunung Agung have been affected especially in the Southern part of Bali which has a higher growth of tourism compared to the rest. This is interesting to study especially in the tourism related business namely the Batu Bolong Beach area. The purpose of this study is to determine the post- eruption implications of Mount Agung that have hit Bali in terms of the socio-economic aspects of tourism stakeholders and the existing business conditions in the Batu Bolong Beach area. As well as knowing the crisis management system in the tourism in Batu related business at Batu Bolong Beach and seeking at the situation and condition those who work for tourism related businesses at the Batu Bolong Beach area.The research methodology used in this study is qualitative research. Where qualitative uses in-depth interview techniques, observations and qualitative documents as well as using the concept of socio-economic impacts of tourism to see the socio-economic impacts arising from the eruption of Mount Agung. The results shows the conditions of tourism businesses after the eruption, theses include: type of business, product range and price, tourist visits, post-eruption economic income. Bamboo rod is a well known raw material utilized to make houses, papers, handicrafts, chopsticks and medicines. On the other hand, the utilzation of leaves, which are often considered as garbages, receive less attentions. Even though, bamboo leaves are good sources of SiO2 or silica. This work reports the preparation of zinc oxide (ZnO) supported onto biogenic silica (SiO2) from leaves of Gigantochloa atroviolacea, characterization and the antibacterial activities of ZnO@SiO2 against Staphylococcus epidermidis. The ZnO was supported onto biogenic SiO2 by using impregnation method of SiO2 in zinc salt [Zn(NO3)2·6H2O] solution. A combination XRD and SEM-EDX techniques were used to confirm the formation of ZnO on ZnO@SiO2. Investigations indicate that the as prepared ZnO@SiO2 revealed significant antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus epidermidis bacterial strain.
Keterbatasan waktu dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan pembelajaran untuk pencapaian kompetensi yang diharapkan menjadi salah satu kendala yang harus disiasati oleh para pendidik. Materi biasanya disampaikan dengan ceramah tanpa memberikan stimulan agar peserta didik dapat mengolah makanan dari tumbuhan disekitarnya. Dalam submateri peran tumbuhan di bidang ekonomi juga diperlukan contoh faktual yang dapat meningkatkan kreativitas peserta didik untuk mengoptimalkan tumbuhan lokal. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui kelayakan media video animasi powtoon pada submateri peran tumbuhan di bidang ekonomi kelas X SMA dalam pembuatan biskuit pisang ambon lumut. Metode penelitian berupa deskriptif kuantitatif dan analisis data menggunakan perhitungan RTVTK. Validasi media video animasi powtoon dilakukan oleh tiga orang ahli materi dengan tiga aspek dan tujuh kriteria penilaian serta tiga orang ahli media dengan enam aspek dan 13 kriteria penilaian. Hasil validasi media video animasi powtoon memperoleh nilai RTVTK sebesar 3,57 oleh ahli materi dan 3,62 oleh ahli media. Media video animasi powtoon berdasarkan nilai rata-rata total validasi dinyatakan valid karena memenuhi kriteria kevalidan yaitu 3≤RTVTK≤4 dan menunjukkan media video animasi powtoon layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran pada submateri peran tumbuhan di bidang ekonomi kelas X SMA. The material is usually delivered with lectures without providing stimulants so that students can process food from the surrounding plants. In submaterial of plant role in economic sector, factual examples that can increase students’ creativity are needed to optimize local plants. This study aimed to determine the eligibility of the powtoon animation video media in the submaterial of plant roles in the economy sector of the class X SMA in the making of ambon lumut banana biscuit. The research method was descriptive quantitative and data analysis using RTVTK calculation. Animation media of powtoon video validation was done by three material experts with three aspects and seven assessment criteria and three media experts with six aspects and 13 assessment criteria. The validation results of animation media of powtoon video obtained an RTVTK score of 3.57 by material experts and 3.62 by media experts. Animation media of powtoon video based on the average total value of validation was valid because it meets the validity criteria, that is 3≤RTVTK≤4 and shows that animation media of powtoon video is suitable for use as a learning media in submaterial of plant role in economic sector of grade X SMA.
