The article was to determine student perceptions in online learning. This research was conducted by survey method by giving questionnaires to 239 active students of Bina Bangsa University. Quantitative data were analyzed by descriptive statistics and qualitative data from open-ended questions to gain insight into student perceptions. The analysis shows that 80% of students are willing to take part in online learning, 62% of students claim online learning provides benefits, and 32% of students have difficulty understanding the material. In conclusion, the perception of students in online learning is relatively good with several obstacles that require improvement. So it is recommended that online learning should be planned, implemented, and evaluated in order to minimize problems and maximize the achievement of learning objectives An abstract should explain a brief, comprehensive summary of article contents; it allows readers to survey. <div align="center"><table width="645" border="1" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0"><tbody><tr><td valign="top" width="439"><p><strong>Abstract:</strong> During the Covid-19 pandemic, lecturers and students were forced to adapt to the online lecture process by utilizing various online platforms. The purpose of this study is to explore the use of online platforms in online lectures during the Covid 19 pandemic, its strengths and weaknesses, constraints and solutions. The data were collected using a survey method by giving a questionnaire to 64 lecturer participants from all over Indonesia who were randomly selected. The results showed that lecturers were more likely to use familiar, familiar and easy-to-use platforms such as WhatsApp, followed by other platforms such as Zoom, Google Classroom while still carrying out technical implementation such as face-to-face learning such as lecture schedules on schedule, attendance attendance, fixed material referring to the RPS, evaluation of material with varied assignments and still seeking solutions to existing problems or constraints. The advantages of using online platforms include supporting the delivery of material in an attractive manner, smooth interaction, while the disadvantages are less interactive, less fluent lecture communication and tends to be one-way, wasteful of quotas, inadequate internet access, less than optimal understanding of material, and level of participation. low student. The use of online platforms in lectures during the Covid-19 pandemic requires both infrastructure and non-structural readiness to optimize the online lecture process during the Covid-19 pandemic.</p><p class="Abstract"><strong>Abstrak:</strong> Pada masa pandemi Covid-19 dosen dan mahasiswa dipaksa untuk beradaptasi dengan proses perkuliahan <em>online</em> dengan memanfaatkan berbagai <em>platform online</em>. Tujuan penelitian ini mengeksplorasi pemanfaatan <em>platform online</em> di perkuliahan <em>online </em>pada masa pandemi covid 19, kelebihan dan kekurangnya, kendala serta solusinya. Data diambil dengan metode survei dengan memberikan angket kuesioner kepada 64 partisipan dosen di seluruh wilayah Indonesia yang dipilih secara acak. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa dosen lebih cenderung menggunakan paltform yang sudah familiar dikenal dan mudah digunakan seperti WhatsApp, diikuti platform lainnya, seperti <em>Zoom</em>, <em>Google Classroom</em> dengan tetap melakukan teknis pelaksanaan seperti dalam pembelajaran tatap muka seperti jadwal pelaksanan perkuliahan sesuai jadwal, adanya absensi kehadiran, materi tetap mengacu ke RPS, evaluasi materi dengan penugasan yang variatif dan tetap mengupayakan solusi terhadap masalah atau kendala yang ada. Kelebihan pemanfaatan <em>platform online</em>, yaitu mendukung penyampaian materi dengan menarik, interaksi yang lancar, sementara kekurangannya ialah kurang interaktif, komunikasi perkuliahan kurang lancar dan cenderung satu arah, boros kuota, akses internet yang kurang memadai, pemahaman materi yang kurang maksimal, dan tingkat partisipasi mahasiswa yang rendah. Pemanfaatan <em>platform online</em> dalam perkuliahan di masa pandemi Covid-19 membutuhkan kesiapan baik infrastruktur maupun nonstruktur guna mengoptimalkan proses perkuliahan<em> online </em>selama pandemi Covid-19.</p></td></tr></tbody></table></div>
This paper discusses the usage of WhatsApp grouping class for increasing students' English ability. This study uses descriptive qualitative research methods, with primary data in the form of semi structured online interviews, participatory observation, documentation and test result. Purposive sampling technique used to choose Informants with total 177 active members of the WhatsApp group from 8 classes. The results pretest and posttest show student's achievement increase. This achievement as evidence that WhatsApp group can be as tool or media for supporting English learning outside class. The interview also showed the majority of informants stated that existence of WhatsApp Group is useful to increase students' English ability including listening, writing, reading and speaking competencies with a series of drilling activities and interactions in groups, students are proven to be more active in English, improve their ability to read, listen, write and improve vocabulary.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan interaksi dan kualitas komunikasi Grup WhatsApp, dan penggunaan Grup WhatsApp dalam meningkatkan kemampuan Bahasa Inggris Ekonomi Mahasiswa Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif, dengan data primer berupa wawancara online semiterstruktur, observasi partisipatif, dokumentasi. Informan dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 177 anggota aktif Grup WhatsApp dari 8 kelas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan mayoritas informan menyatakan bahwa interaksi dan kualitas komunikasi pada grup WhatsApp baik, berkualitas dan bermanfaat. Keberadaan Grup WhatsApp berguna untuk mendukung kuliah Ekonomi Inggris 1, media informasi yang akurat tentang perkuliahan untuk pengiriman materi dan tugas, pengumpulan tugas, baik dalam bentuk komentar langsung dalam obrolan, gambar / keterangan, rekaman dialog cepat. Group WhatsApp juga terbukti bermanfaat dalam meningkatkan keterampilan Bahasa Inggris Ekonomi termasuk kemampuan mendengarkan, menulis, membaca dan berbicara. Dengan serangkaian kegiatan drill dan interaksi dalam kelompok, siswa terbukti lebih aktif dalam bahasa Inggris, meningkatkan kemampuan mereka untuk membaca, mendengarkan, menulis, dan meningkatkan kosa kata
This research to find out the influence of teacher competence and motivation in teaching towards the effectiveness of learning at SMK Negeri 3 Serang City. This research used quantitative approach with survey method with 53 teachers as samples. The samples were taken by a saturated sampling technique in which the total population was sampled. Data analysis techniques use classical assumption test, multiple linear regression and coefficient of determination analysis. The results showed that: (1) Teachers professional competence influence the effectiveness of learning with the determination coefficient 0.189 or 18.9%. (2) Teaching motivation influence the effectiveness of learning with the determination coefficient 0.388 or 38.8%. and (3)Teachers profesional competence and Teaching motivation influence simultaneously toward the effectiveness of learning with the value of coefficient determination 455 or 45.50%.
