In the era of globalization, the role of the agricultural sector in an area faced with the demand for increased productivity and efficiency in order to be competitive in the domestic and international markets. The purpose of this study is to determine the role of the agricultural sector in improving regional competitiveness. The method used is a Klassen Typology approach. Klassen Typology Approach used to identify the position of agriculture sector of Madiun District in increasing the competitiveness of the region by considering the economic sector of Jawa Timur province as the reference area. The results of the research expected to be recommendations for the formulation of policies undertaken by the local government. The role of the agricultural sector in the context of strengthening regional competitiveness expected to increase locally-generated revenue (PAD) as well as to support and encourage the development of other sectors, and increase regional and national economic growth as to increase income per capita society.
Political and social changes since Indonesian's reformation placed Perhutani in an uneasy position. It led to massive deforestation and degradation in state forests land in Java until now. These acts, perpetrated by missmanagement and decrease in the quality of forests resource, were driven by a complicated set of issues. Community-Based Forest Management (CBFM was known as PHBM) was introduced by Indonesian Forest Enterprises (Perhutani) during a period of political and social transition in Indonesia, to address increasing rate of forest degradation in Java. The debates between proponents and opponents of the scheme within Perhutani consumed much of the agency's time and energy otherwise invested into PHBM implementation on the field. As a result, PHBM stalled as it was not integrated effectively into the organization of forestry resources management planning. It is due to the gaps in perceptions between community and Perhutani. Additionally, PHBM not managed according to the Collaborative Forest Management principles, and the dominant roles of Perhutani in the implementation of PHBM steer it towards Co-optation Forest Management.
Hydroponic training activities were held in the village of Ngadirejo Magetan. Activity participants were PKH members in the village. PKH (Program Keluarga Harapan) or in international is similar with Conditional Cash Transfers (CCT) is a program from government to help poor families .All participants were enthusiastic in participating in the training. Armed with hydroponic cultivation skills, it is expected that the community can use plastic bottle waste for planting media. in addition, this activity can also generate income for the community, especially housewives.
Semakin pesatnya perkembangan teknologi serta semakin terbatasnya lapangan pekerjaan membuat persaingan dalam dunia kerja semakin tinggi. Angkatan kerja dihadapkan pada berbagai kondisi yang sulit terlebih karena adanya pandemi di tahun 2020 ini. Banyak sektor industri yang tertekan sehingga berdampak pada berkurangnya lowongan pekerjaan. Ini tentunya semakin diperparah oleh kondisi di mana jumlah angkatan kerja terus-menerus meningkat seiring semakin bertambahnya jumlah lulusan baik dari perguruan tinggi maupun sekolah menengah atas. Untuk itu, penting sekali program peningkatan kompetensi bagi para lulusan melalui beberapa kegiatan pelatihan dan kursus. Salah satu kegiatan dapat dilakukan dengan pemberian training program career preparation. Career preparation adalah program yang dilakukan untuk memberikan materi berupa persiapan karir seperti pembuatan curriculum vitae yang menarik, pembuatan akun Linkedin, pelatihan wawancara serta materi tentang sosialisasi kursus gratis yang bisa diakses dari rumah. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilaksanakan sebagai bentuk respon atas permasalahan yang terjadi di masyarakat khususnya pada kelompok nonformal. Dengan berkolaborasi, tim pelaksana memilih kelompok sasaran yang memiliki permasalahan dalam hal persiapan tantangan karir. Tujuan dari program ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan peserta dalam menghadapi tantangan dunia kerja yang semakin berat saat ini. Sasaran program training ini adalah anggota IOSON Lingkar Penggerak. IOSON Lingkar Penggerak merupakan organisasi nonformal yang bergerak di bidang kemanusiaan yang anggotanya sebagian besar berusia 16-30 tahun. Metode kegiatan pelatihan dilaksanakan secara daring melalui aplikasi Zoom Cloud Meeting dan dibagi dalam beberapa sesi. Hasil yang diharapkan dari kegiatan ini adalah meningkatnya kemampuan peserta dalam menyusun curriculum vitae yang menarik, mampu memanfaatkan aplikasi Linkedin untuk menemukan lowongan pekerjaan, serta memiliki kemampuan yang bagus dalam menghadapi wawancara kerja
