The research is aiming at exploring the utilization of technology at both Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Sriwijaya University and Faculty of Arts and Education within Deakin Universit.The data was collected through the interview with the lecturers and also the field observation. On this faculty, the BI learning program is organized in two modes: on campus and off campus. Based on the observation and interview, it could be identified that 1) Learning activity: Mode off campus 2) Classroom Management is conducted individually or in group and a virtual meeting with the instructor and or via video conference 3) Devices utilized by the students were hardware and software with certain specification, 4) Application/software utilized was adopted package software, 5) Learning material was developed by the instructors, 6) Supported crew was the IT staff, and 7) Instructur in the learning activity was still required with different role as the learning material developer.Keywords: engagement; technology; learning support
AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan upaya revitalisasi seni pertunjukan Dulmulukberdasarkan pendapat mahasiswa FKIP Universitas Sriwijaya dan meningkatkan apresiasimereka terhadap seni pertunjukan Dulmuluk. Penelitian ini menggabungkan metodekualitatif dan kuantitatif. Pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi dan kuesioner.Tanggapan terhadap pengalaman menonton pertunjukan Dulmuluk dilaporkan dalampenelitian ini. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan apresiasi mahasiswamencakup tiga aspek, yakni: sikap, pengetahuan, dan psikomotor. Pada aspek sikapdan pengetahuan apresiasi mahasiswa terhadap seni pertunjukan Dulmuluk semakinmeningkat. Dilihat dari aspek psikomotorik, mahasiswa mampu mementaskan senipertunjukan Dulmuluk secara sukses dengan 1050 penonton. Hal itu menunjukkan adanyapeningkatan apresiasi mahasiswa terhadap seni pertunjukan Dulmuluk.Kata kunci: seni pertunjukkan, revitalisasi, teater tradisional, apresiasi
The ability to write persuasive texts is a skill that is not easy to master. The low level of students' understanding and memory of the material taught orally and in writing. In addition, the lack of learning resources is also an obstacle for students in learning. This study aims to develop a persuasive text writing book and analyze the potential effects of a persuasive text writing book. This research method uses the Jolly and Bolitho and Tesmer development model. This research is research and development research. Methods This research adapts the Jolly and Bolitho development and Tessmer development models. Data collection techniques used three techniques, questionnaire techniques, interviews, and tests. The data collection instrument is a questionnaire. The technique used to analyze the data is descriptive qualitative analysis quantitative and inferential statistics. The study results, the expert validation assessment, obtained very good results from content, language, presentation, and graphics feasibility. The field test results through the paired simple test showed a significant difference between the scores before and after using this developed textbook. It was concluded that writing persuasive textbooks could make it easier for students to understand writing to improve student learning outcomes.
This paper was ideas to response problems of the teaching of literature at university which has been more focused on literary theory. The literary work was as if the artifacts 'inanimate' that do not provide any benefits so that its presence was not involved in the study of literature. Therefore, the following ideas should be emphasized in teaching literature at university. First, the learning of literature should be done in a team/group (team-work). Second, the study of literature should include three aspects, namely cognitive, emotive and evaluative aspects. Third, the learning of literature should involve literary works. The students' task was to confront the concepts of literature and literary works. They are, for example, find the characteristics of each period works of literature on the facts/data contained in literary works in accordance with its period. Fourth, within the framework of learning in creative and innovative literature, students are required to do the work and evaluation that sustains the ability of literary appreciation. For example, on an individual basis, students analyze the development of aesthetic elements or differently nonaesthetic and students are required to make a synopsis of the literary works of the period Balai Pustaka until the period of the 2000s. Meanwhile, the evaluation given is not emphasized in the realm of memory and comprehension but directed at the realm of application and evaluation.
Many students still have difficulty developing their ideas about explanatory texts while undergoing the learning process in class. This study aims to analyze the needs of students and teachers for the development of learning media in the form of animation writing explanatory texts based on problem-solving. This research is qualitative research that analyzes the first and design stages of research and development. The things that were analyzed were the needs of students and teachers for animated learning media to write problem-solving-based explanatory texts. From the data collected through questionnaires and interviews with 33 students and 1 Indonesian teacher. The technique used to analyze the data is descriptive qualitative and quantitative analysis. The research results show that animated learning media about problem-solving-based explanatory text writing can be an innovative medium for learning activities and can support students' and teachers' needs. This learning media is beneficial for both parties and can be accessed offline. Thus, learning media can be an alternative for the needs of teachers and students in learning and teaching writing explanatory texts.
