Diukur pH saliva awal setelah berpuasa ½ jam.
The Dental and Oral Hospital (RSGM) as a part of health care facilities, especially teeth and mouth, do not rule out unexpected events / near-injury events that have an impact on patient safety. The safety incidents at RSGM are only reported when an incident occurs. Solving this problem requires changing the culture of health care from one in which errors are viewed as the result of individual failure to one in which errors are viewed as opportunities to improve from one in which errors are viewed as the system. This study aims to determine the culture of patient safety in dental and oral health services at RSGM Unimus. This type of research is descriptive research with mixed methods research approaches, namely quantitative and qualitative. The study involved a sample of 65 respondents, where the study was conducted from March to April 2020. Quantitative data collection techniques used AHRQ (Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality instrument questionnaire) and qualitative through interviews. The results of the study show that in all dimensions of the AHRQ questionnaire, the highest positive response results are in the very good/strong category, which means that the level of patient safety at RSGM Unimus is already supportive. This study shows that the dissemination of patient safety has not been routinely carried out, errors in communication often occur, reporting only when unexpected incidents occur, and it is necessary to increase feedback between medical personnel and evaluation of intentional or accidental errors that is related to patient safety still needs to be improved.
Surface modification with plasma has been widely applied to polymeric materials. This treatment is intended to improve the surface properties of the polymer including its wettability and adhesiveness. The aim of this paper is to provide a review of the literature on the surface treatment of polymers with plasma, which focuses on the effects of adhesive and surface tribology properties. The related surface properties are also reviewed in order to strengthen the review of adhesive properties and tribology. Various types of plasma treatments that have been reviewed reported that plasma can be effectively used to improve surface properties, especially adhesive and tribological properties. On a small surface treatment has been developed plasma jet treatment which has been widely applied in biomedical applications.
Background: Dentists when performing treatment to patients require accuracy which results in the dentist having to look down at the patient (awkward position) which can cause Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs). This complaint can also occur in dental students because if they perform treatment in the wrong position, repeatedly, for a long time it can cause Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs). The aim of this study was to know the description of Musculoskeletal Disorders complaints in Dentist Professional Program Students at RSGM Unimus. Method: This research is a descriptive study with a cross-sectional approach. The subjects were dental students with more than one year of practice at RSGM Unimus as many as 38 people with sampling technique using accidental sampling. The data collection technique was done by interview using Cornell Musculoskeletal Discomfort Questionnaire (CMDQ) instrument. Result: Most respondents were female (84.2%), 25 years old (39.5%), and the length of daily practice was about 2 hours (39.5%). Most respondents had mild Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs) complaints in all parts of the body, but there were also severe complaints in the lower back (23.7%), neck (7.9%), upper back (7.9%), and waist or buttocks (7.9%). Conclusion: Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs) complaints among dental students at RSGM Unimus are still in the low category but there are also body parts that have severe categories, namely the lower back, neck, upper back, and waist or buttocks.
