Wound care by using wound dressing has been evolved available in various physical forms including hydrogels with the highest global use reaching 43%. Nowadays, hydrogels are available at high cost because produced from synthetic materials, so natural materials are needed to obtain antibacterial wound dressing. This study aims to analyze the hydrogel patch PVA/chitosan/starch infused liquid smoke and vitamin K collard greens extract which are antibacterial effects and accelerates wound healing. This study was a laboratory experiment. Collard greens were extracted by using the Direct Solvent Extraction II method. The membrane characteristic tested using SEM test. The parallel streak method (AATCC 147-2004) was used for antibacterial testing. The hydrogel patch application was carried out on 28 male Rattus norvegicus strain wistar rats. They were given incisions wound and treated by a control group and 3 treatment groups and conducted wound healing analysis on the 4th,7th,11th and 14th day observation. The antibacterial test showed the hydrogel patch infused liquid smoke with a concentration of 12% was the optimum concentration inhibiting S. aureus. In conclusion, the hydrogel patch has a smooth and porous surface, can be inhibited the growth of S. aureus, and proven to completely heal the animal wound.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh interaksi jadwal pemberian pakan secara periodik dan level protein terhadap performan dan gambaran darah itik lokal Sikumbang Jati. Penelitian ini menggunakan 108 ekor DOD umur 14 hari. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen yang menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan pola Split-plot 3x3 dengan 3 ulangan. Faktor A adalah jadwal pemberian pakan yaitu A1 (pemberian pakan 2 kali dalam sehari), A2 (pemberian pakan 4 kali dalam sehari), A3 (pemberian pakan 6 kali dalam sehari) dan faktor B adalah pemberian level protein 18%, 20%, dan 22%. Parameter yang diukur adalah performan itik (bobot karkas, persentase karkas, dan lemak abdominal) serta gambaran darah (jumlah eritrosit, hemoglobin, dan nilai hematokrit). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa interaksi terbaik antara jadwal pemberian pakan secara periodik dan level protein adalah pada jadwal pemberian pakan sebanyak 6 kali dan level protein 22% terhadap bobot karkas, sedangkan untuk persentase karkas rata-rata tertinggi adalah jadwal pemberian pakan sebanyak 6 kali dan level protein 22%. Untuk Lemak abdominal menghasilkan interaksi tidak berbeda nyata jumlah eritrosit, kadar hemoglobin, dan hematokrit. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan jumlah eritrosit berkisar 1,72-2,21 juta/mm3, kadar hemoglobin berkisar 12,90-14,94 g/100 ml, dan nilai hematokrit berkisar 48,55%. Kesimpulan penelitian ini jadwal pemberian pakan secara periodik dan level protein adanya interaksi antara bobot karkas dan persentase karkas tetapi tidak berpengaruh pada lemak abdominal dan gambaran darah itik Sikumbang Janti.
Growth of FHIA-17 Banana Seedlings with the Application of Hijauan Paitan Fertilizer (Titonia Diversifolia) and Cow Manure. The aim of this study was to obtain data on the growth of FHIA-17 banana seedlings after application of T.diversifolia forage and cow manure. Using a factorial Randomized Block Design (CRD) with two treatment factors. The first factor is the forage dose of T. diversifolia (P) with 5 levels, P0=Control; P1=12.5 g kg-1 planting medium (equivalent to 5 tons ha-1); P2=25 g kg-1 planting medium (equivalent to 10 tons ha-1); P3=37.5 g / kg of planting media (equivalent to 15 tons ha-1); P4=50 g kg-1 of growing media (equivalent to 20 tons ha-1). The second factor is the dose of cow manure (K) with 5 treatment levels namely, K0=Control; P1=12.5 g kg-1 of growing media (equivalent to 5 tons ha-1); K2=25 g kg-1 of growing media (equivalent to 10 tons ha-1); K3= 37.5 g kg-1 of growing media (equivalent to 15 tons ha-1); K4=50 g kg-1 planting medium (equivalent to 20 tons ha-1 and repeated 2 (two) times. Observed parameters were plant height (cm), number of leaves, stem circumference (mm), plant wet weight (g), plant dry weight (g). The results of this study indicate that the application of forage T. diversifolia significantly affected plant height and number of leaves. It’s not real with respect to all observational parameters.
ABSTRAKIkan merupakan sumber pangan yang cepat mengalami pembusukan, sehingga perlu usaha untuk mengawetkannya. Salah satu bahan pengawet alami yang digunakan adalah kluwak. Kluwak mengandung senyawa antioksidan dan senyawa yang memiliki aktivitas antibakteri. Pengawetan dilakukan dengan menggunakan konsentrasi P0 (0% biji kluwak dan garam 2%), P1 (2% biji kluwak dan garam 2%), P2 (4% biji kluwak dan garam 2%), P3 (6% biji kluwak dan garam 2%) dan melihat nilai mutu ikan patin dari sifat organoleptik (rupa, bau, tekstur, dan rasa) serta nilai gizi protein yang dianalisis dengan metode Kjeldahl setelah disimpan pada suhu kamar selama 6 hari. Dari analisis variansi DMRT (Duncan's Multiple Range Test) perlakuan P2 (4% biji kluwak dan garam 2%) dan P3 (6% biji kluwak dan garam 2%) tidak berbeda nyata terhadap nilai organoleptik (rupa, bau, tekstur, dan rasa) serta nilai kadar protein, tetapi P2 dan P3 berbeda nyata dengan perlakuan P0 dan P1 (P<0,05), sehingga P2 adalah perlakuan terbaik yang mampu dalam mempertahankan mutu ikan patin setelah disimpan pada suhu kamar selama 4 hari.Kata kunci: ikan patin jambal siam, kluwak, fermentasi anaerob, organoleptik.
