Purpose of the study: The purpose of the study was to analyze the grammatical function of the noun of Japanese and Indonesian language and diversification of Noun and the system of inflectional of two language Methodology: The methodology of the study was qualitative that focused on library research. In this case, the author conducted constructive analysis to analyze the similarities and differences of the languages in terms of form and function by text-book based on Indonesia and the Japanese Language. The text-book based constructive analysis of library research was chosen to be able to evaluate and renovate the text-book used by language students; Indonesian and Japanese so that their understanding of language comparison and contrast of those languages would be better in the future. Additionally, the lingual contrastive theory was also applicated to establish the term of comparison of the noun of Indonesian and Japanese. From the analysis of the data, it found that the diversity of Noun Forms of Japanese as the subject or the object is classified by particles such as WA,O. A different variation is reflected in the form of the noun of Indonesian where it is not followed with the word of the object. Main Findings: This study also found that the equality form of Noun between Indonesian and Japanese in terms of the function of the subject and the object that refers to the name of people, place, etc. Applications of this study: The implication of the study is applicated with the process of language acquisition of Japanese as the foreign language of Indonesian students, especially in evaluating and renovating the text-book used by students.
The Provision of Green Open Spaces (GOS) as a playground for children as well as introducing environmental awareness is a concern in various regions. GOS is a facility from the local government to fulfil children’s rights in terms of growing and developing in a healthy and safe environment, especially for Brebes, which has declared themselves to be a Child-Friendly Region. Nevertheless, currently, Brebes only has 12 GOSs, which is around 15 per cent of its total area. It hampered by the contradictions between the standard requirements for GOS development and the alteration of land functions due to urbanisation in addition to the lack of community involvement in spatial planning between 2012 and 2017. The purpose of this study is to examine the optimisation of GOS in Brebes Regency from the perspective of environmental communication towards the positioning of Brebes as a child-friendly city; this research is a qualitative descriptive study using ethnographic methods and an environmental communication approach. The qualitative data obtained through in-depth interviews, observations and the documentation of eight informants. The findings show that GOS Brebes currently functions as a media for child development. There are some obstacles in terms of optimising the spaces in Brebes because there are some behaviours that are not child-friendly and/or environmentally friendly. Furthermore, the GOS conditions in Brebes generally fulfil the principles of Child-Friendly Spaces (CFS) as the indicators of the optimal performance of GOS. In addition, communication, resources, disposition and bureaucratic structure are important factors in terms of optimising child-friendly GOS in Brebes. Finally, cooperation between the government and the community members to create an ideal child-friendly GOS should be supported by clear regulations and policies, as well as communicated through the media appropriately and sustainably.
The aim of this research is to identify the outlines of job-desk based speaking textbook for working students.By having this, it is expected that a decent job-desk textbook for working students who want to improve their performance at work in speaking area can be produced. Based on the conducted pre-research, it was found that the English Department worker students in Batam are charged with using English actively in presenting, introducing, explaining, discussing, negotiating, giving direction, and serving. Furthermore, based on those things above, the textbook used so far does not meet the needs of working students. Therefore, the researcher formulated a job-desk based textbook in speaking class to fulfill the working students' needs specifically. This case study qualitative research on the students of English Department is conducted by applying purposive sampling technique. In addition, the data was collected through questionnaire and interview which were adjusted as the indicators of the textbook. The result showed that the students who work in Batam have problems in grammar, vocabularies, pronunciation and the language expressions in presenting, discussion, giving instruction and negotiating. Based on those problems, the researcher composed a textbook that could possibly solves the students' problems at work.

This article addresses curriculum in translation study, a Diploma-4 program established by English for Business and Professional Communication (BISPRO) Politeknik Negeri Jakarta (PNJ). It focuses on the translation competences covered in the implemented curriculum.Translation competence models by PACTE 2003 and the new-issued SKKNI Penerjemah Teks Umum (Indonesian National Framework Competency Standards) for General Text Translator will be the framework of the study to review the suitability of covered competences in the implemented curriculum. The objective is to find out the correct combination among the elements stated in SKKNI and those in PACTE translation competence models to be implemented in the curriculum. Content analysis is applied as the methods of the study. The analysis focused on the comparison of competences covered in the implemented curriculum, the SKKNI Penerjemah Teks Umum and the PACTE translation competences models. The results show that translation competencies seen from the BISPRO curricula are widely represented. Almost all the course distribution contains the competencies from the frameworks, yet there are two competencies, namely bicultural and encyclopedic knowledge, and psychomotor mechanism, are not represented. It is concluded that there are some competencies unavailable in the applied curricula. Therefore, it is strongly recommended that the stakeholders revise the curriculum to the students' needs.
