ABSTRAKTelah dilakukan penelitian identifikasi ekstrak etil asetat dari tanama Anting-anting (Acalypha indica Linn.) sebagai senyawa antimalaria dan aktivitasnya secara in vivo pada sel parasit malaria P. berghei.Penelitian ini meliputi ekstraksi tanaman anting-anting menggunakan metode ekstraksi maserasi selama 24 jam dengan variasi pelarut yaitu etil asetat, diklorometana, dan petroleum eter. Pengadukkan dibantu dengan shaker selama 3 jam. Ekstrak pekat diuji fitokimia didukung Kromatografi Lapis Tipis, Ekstrak pekat etil asetat dilakukan uji antimalaria in vivo terhadap hewan uji terhadap sel parasit P. berghei. Data derajat parasitemia mencit dianalisis menggunakan program SPSS dengan Uji OneWay ANOVA dan dilanjutkan dengan Uji Tukey.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya senyawa aktif tanin, alkaloid dan steroid pada ekstrak etil asetat.Uji aktivitas antimalaria secara in vivo pada hewan coba didapatkan hasil penghambatan ekstrak etilasetat terhadap pertumbuhan Plasmodium berghei pada dosis 0,01 mg/g bb sebesar 87,19%; pada dosis 0,1mg/g bb sebesar 84,9% dan pada dosis 1mg/g bb sebesar 90,74%. The value of parasite inhibition is 87,19% for dose 0.01 mg/g wb; 84.9% for dose 0.1 mg/ g wb; 90.74% for dose 1 mg/ g wb.
Kaemferia galanga L. rhizome is a traditional crop which is widely used for herbal medicine. This research is started from the extraction of maceration using ethanol 80% and partition with chloroform:water. 80 % ethanol extract and chloroform fraction tested antioxidant activity with DPPH (1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl), phytochemicals with reagents, separation of the active compound by TLC (thin layer chromatography) analytical and preparative TLC, the identification of compounds with sliding reagent using UV-Vis. The test results on the antioxidant activity of 80% ethanol extract of 64,93% (100 ppm) and chloroform fraction of 54,9 % (100 ppm) with indigo IC50 of 13,07 mg/mL and 81,9 mg mL. 80 % ethanol extract and chloroform fraction has potential as a source of natural antioxidants. Phytochemical test showed 80% ethanol extract contains flavonoids, alkaloids and tannins. At the chloroform fraction extract containing flavonoids. The separation of the active compounds with analytical TLC using eluent PE: ethyl acetate (5: 1) resulted in 7 stain (Rf 0,06 to 0,96) and preparative TLC produce 8 spots (Rf from 0,19 to 0,83). Results from UV-Vis spectrum can be presumed that such a class of flavonoid compounds flavanones or dihidroflavonol. It can be seen from the wavelength range 210-285 nm in the bands I and 300-550 nm in band II. The addition of the reagent slide showed the presence of hydroxyl groups in ring A, B and C and O-hydroxy on ring A. AbstrakKencur merupakan tanaman tradisional yang banyak dimanfaatkan sebagai obat alami. Penelitian ini diawali dengan ekstraksi maserasi menggunakan pelarut etanol 80 % dan partisi dengan kloroform:air. Ekstrak etanol 80 % dan fraksi kloroform dilakukan uji aktivitas antioksidan dengan DPPH, fitokimia dengan reagen, pemisahan senyawa aktif dengan KLT analitik dan KLT preparatif, identifikasi senyawa dengan pereaksi geser menggunakan UV-Vis. Hasil uji aktivitas antioksidan pada ekstrak etanol 80 % sebesar 64,93 % (100 ppm) dan fraksi kloroform 54,9 % (100 ppm) dengan nila IC 50 sebesar 13,07 mg/mL dan 81,9 mg/mL. Ekstrak etanol 80 % dan fraksi kloroform mempunyai potensi sebagai sumber antioksidan alami. Uji fitokimia menunjukkan ekstrak etanol 80 % mengandung senyawa flavonoid, alkaloid dan tanin. Pada ekstrak fraksi kloroform mengandung senyawa flavonoid. Pemisahan senyawa aktif dengan KLT analitik menggunakan eluen PE:etil asetat (5:1) menghasilkan 7 noda (Rf 0,06-0,96) dan KLT preparatif menghasilkan 8 noda (Rf 0,19-0,83). Hasil dari spektrum UV-Vis dapat diduga bahwa senyawa flavonoid tersebut merupakan golongan flavanon atau dihidroflavonol. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari rentang panjang gelombang 210 -285 nm pada pita I dan 300 -550 nm pada pita II. Penambahan pereaksi geser menujukkan adanya gugus hidroksi pada cincin A, B dan C dan Ohidroksi pada cincin A.

Bamboo grass (Lophatherum gracile B.) is one of weed plants which frequently used as a medicine because it provides active compounds, for instance steroids and tannins. This research was conducted to determine the anticancer activity of extracts and fractions of leaves bamboo grass in inhibiting the growth of breast cancer cells T47D, and to determine the class of the active compounds contained in extracts and fractions which have the lowest IC 50 value from phytochemical test and identification with UV-Vis instruments and FTIR. The extraction of active compound leaves of bamboo grass is done by maceration method using ethanol 80%, hydrolysis and partition with n-hexane and chloroform. Four of the extracts is phytochemical tested and anticancer activity tested towards breast cancer cells T47D with MTT method. The best results of the test activities are performed by the separation of classes of active compounds KLTP and are identified using UV-Vis spectrophotometer and FTIR. The value of IC 50 from 80% ethanol extraction is 321,389, from hydrolysis extraction is 481.984, from the fraction of chloroform is 177.852, and from n-hexane fraction is 300.681 µg / mL. The lowest IC50 which have the best cytotoxic is the fraction of chloroform and n-hexane. The results of phytochemical test fractions of chloroform and n-hexane fraction indicates the tannin and steroids. The identification result by using UV-Vis and FTIR shows that the fraction of chloroform and n-hexane fraction is containing tannin, which isproven by maximum wavelength at 331.6 nm and 331.6 nm allegations of -OH, CH, C=C. Moreover, the existence of steroid compounds in fraction chloroform and n-hexane is shown by the absorption at 279.1 nm and 278.0 nm of wavelength with allegations of -OH, CH, C=C, C-O.Keywords: bamboo grass leaves (Lophaterum gracile B.), breast cancer cells T47D, in vitro, MTT method. AbstrakRumput bambu termasuk gulma yang dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai obat, karena adanya kandungan senyawa aktif yang berperan di dalamnya, diantaranya adalah steroid dan tanin. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui aktivitas antikanker dari ekstrak dan fraksi daun rumput bambu dalam menghambat pertumbuhan sel kanker payudara T47D dan untuk mengetahui golongan senyawa aktif yang terkandung dalam ekstrak dan fraksi yang memiliki nilai IC50 terendah dari hasil uji fitokimia serta identifikasi dengan instrumen UV-Vis dan FTIR. Ekstraksi senyawa aktif daun rumput bambu dilakukan dengan metode maserasi menggunakan pelarut etanol 80 %, hidrolisis dan ekstraksi cair-cair dengan n-heksana dan kloroform. Keempat ekstrak diuji fitokimia dan diuji aktivitas antikanker terhadap sel kanker payudara T47D dengan metode MTT. Hasil terbaik dari uji aktivitas dilakukan pemisahan golongan senyawa aktif dengan KLTP dan diidentifikasi menggunakan spektrofotometer UV-Vis dan FTIR.
