The aim of this study was to identify the impact of HR activities on competitive advantage in private schools. The study uses primary data collected with the help of a well-structured questionnaire that was developed and distributed among a sample of 92 respondents (49 female and 43 male), questionnaire results were statistically analyzed to test the hypotheses that were developed to identify the impact of HR activities on competitive advantages. Multiple regression analysis was used as a statistical tool and technique to identify five key elements: recruitment and reward system, training and skill development activities, organization climate, employee participation and empowerment; and effective communication system to determine competitive advantage in private schools in Jordan. The results indicated that there is a statistically significant effect of HR activities on the competitive advantage; On the other hand, there is no impact of other variables.
The study explores the aspects of job satisfaction related to the employee's intention to quit the job in the presence of job fatigue and can help decision-makers and administrators in the Jordanian private banking sector retain highly qualified employees. The current research attempted to investigate the relationship between job satisfaction through its dimensions (satisfaction with pay, satisfaction with promotion, satisfaction with co-workers, satisfaction with emergency bonuses, satisfaction with the nature of the work, satisfaction with communication with the organization), and the intention to quit a job through its dimensions (remuneration, nature of work? Health problems and ineffective driving). The study was conducted on Jordanian commercial banks. The descriptive analytical method was used through a sample selected from the study community represented by (Alhli-Bank, Arab Bank, and Arab Islamic Bank). After conducting the tests, the study concluded that there is a significant correlation between job satisfaction in its dimensions and the intention to quit smoking. The study recommends motivating employees by reviewing wages, promotions, and emergency bonus policies in light of the results.
The purpose of this paper was to investigate the effect of lean practices on productivity at process industries; the case of Hikma Pharmaceutical Company. A quantitative approach based on survey questionnaire was used to evaluate the impact of lean tools on productivity. The paper showed that visual management, 5S, and work standards had a significant impact on productivity, whereas, waste reduction did not have a significant effect.
The study was an investigation of the impact of perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use of business intelligence (BI) tools among users. The relationship between and among the dependent variable (utilization of BI tools) and the independent variables (perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use) was investigated through the lenses of technology acceptance model (TAM). Other objectives for the current research were to build a model to predict users’ utilization of the independent variables, and to generalize the results of the research to the IT population. Data for the current research was collected utilizing a survey questionnaire, designed by the researcher, with a 5-point Likert scale to interpret responses to the survey questions. The analysis consisted of descriptive statistics and multiple regressions models. A prediction model was structured using generalized linear models. The result of the study was the development of a prediction model for BI tools utilization through the lenses of a technology acceptance model (TAM). The model highlighted the importance of up-to-date information provided by current BI tools, ability of BI tools to provide users with more analytical tools to accomplish their jobs, the degree to which BI tools allow users to present convincing arguments, the ability of BI tools to provide users with more possible solutions, the ability of BI tools to reduce the time required to accomplish jobs, and the ability of BI tools to help users make relevant business predictions.
