Coastal as an open-access resource has the potential to cause conflict with spatial use. This research aims to analyze the conflict in the utilization of coastal resources among fishermen and unconventional tin miners. This research used a survey research method with qualitative descriptive research, including income analysis, employment opportunities, education, and health. Respondents in this research were fishermen and unconventional tin miners in Bangka Tengah district, including Batu Belubang village - Pangkalan Baru sub-district, Kurau village - Koba sub-district, and Baskara Bhakti village - Namang sub-district. Data collection using methods through observation, interviews, and documentation. Conflicts are analyzed through a stakeholder analysis approach with an onion analysis approach. The results showed that there were four main issues triggering conflict: 1) environmental issues; 2) social issues; 3) law violation issues; 4) economic issues. Conflict resolution that is collaborative with a negotiation approach that combines elements of the user community (fishing groups and unconventional miners) and the government known as Co-Management which avoids the excessive dominant role of one party in the management of coastal and marine resources, including equitable division of territory between fishing and mining areas, with reference to coastal and marine spatial regulations in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province, Indonesia.
Production optimization is to do increase maximum profit after optimal production is achieved by streamlining production costin celery cultivation activity. The addition of input on celery leaves will cause the production cost will be increase, so do the optimization ofcelery leaf production,in order to obtain maximum profit. This study aims to be determine the results of the production of celery farmers in the village of Zed West Mendo District Bangka Regency is optimal or not. The research method used is survey method. While the sampling method used in this study is simple random sampling with sample of celery leaf farmers in Zed Village as many as 35 farmers of celery leaves. The analytical method uses derivatives of equations and formulas a,b,c. The results showed that the production of optimum celery leaves in Zed Village was 1111.154 kg with the selling price of Rp. 21,514,-, by maximum profit after reaching optimum production, that is Rp.
This study aimed to analyze the income of traditional fishermen, the characteristics of individual traditional fishermen who have the ability to resilience, the factors that support the resilience of traditional fishermen, and the resilience strategies of traditional fishermen against the coastal pollution pressure from the impact of tin mining. This research used a survey method with a purposive sampling technique. The research was conducted in Bangka Tengah Regency, covering Sampur village, Pangkalan Baru sub-district and Baskara Bhakti village, Namang sub-district. The respondents in this study were traditional fishermen with more than 20 years of experience. Data collection methods in this study included primary data and secondary data. Primary data was collected using questionnaires, observation and documentation tools. Secondary data was collected through a literature study. The data was analyzed using a descriptive quantitative method. The result of the research showed that the average income of traditional fishermen is IDR 300,000 - IDR 800,000 per month. Fishermen have individual characteristics including: Insight, Independence, Relationships, Initiative, Creativity, Humor, and Morality. The factors that support the resilience of traditional fishermen are: individuals (the ability to overcome problems; family (family support); and Community (environmental support to deal with pressure). The strategy of traditional fishermen’s resilience to coastal pollution pressures due to tin mining is innovative and creative. So it is suggested that as an effort to empower traditional fishermen, the government can develop a capture fishery business into a larger business scale increase the income of traditional fishermen.
Abstract. Kurniawan A, Hariati AM, Kurniawan A, Kurniawan N, Nugroho TW, Bidayani E, Syarif AF, wiadnya DGR. 2022. Genetic diversity analysis and phylogeography of Osteochilus spilurus (Cyprinidae: Labeoninae) from Bangka, Belitung, and Kalimantan Islands using Cytochrome b gene. Biodiversitas 23: 4738-4746. The Sundaland fish species, Osteochilus spilurus is only utilized commercially in the Belitung Islands and has yet to be domesticated. This species can characterize freshwater fish phylogeography because have a minimum of human influence. This study aimed to analyze the genetic diversity and phylogeography of O. spilurus from the Bangka, Belitung, and Kalimantan Islands using Cytochrome b gene. Twenty fish samples were collected from the Sebangau and Kapuas Rivers in Kalimantan, the Lenggang River in Belitung Island, and the Lebak River in Bangka Island. Forward LA-cyp and reverse HA-cyp primers were used for amplification Cytochrome b gene. Mega 10.0 applications were used to construct of the phylogenetic tree. The phylogeographic analysis uses a comparative phylogenetic tree approach with geographical history. The cytochrome b gene showed variations in the nucleotides of O. spilurus from the three islands. Phylogeography of O. spilurus showed that there are two different clades with intraspecific variation according to a geographic area with bootstrap values of 99-100%. One clade contains fish samples from Bangka and Belitung islands, while the other clade comes from Kalimantan island. The formation of the Karimata Strait (between Bangka-Belitung and Kalimantan Islands) and the pattern of paleo rivers are predicted to influence the disparity.
