This study was aimed to examine the role of emotion regulation assistance to decrease of physical maltreatment behavior, namely pinching behavior on mothers of ADHD children. This research was used within subject design with ABAB single subject design. There were two mothers of ADHD children participating in this study. They were clients of The Assessment Center for Child Growth and Development in Yogyakarta. Data were obtained from self monitoring note and reflection of experience during emotion regulation assistance study period was going on. Data were analyzed by using visual inspection. Data of subject reflection during assistance period were analyzed qualitatively using content analysis approach. The result showed that emotion regulation assistance evoked the change of awareness on both subjects. The new awareness influenced the way of the subjects to view behavior of ADHD children. Furthermore this influenced on decreasing physical maltreatment behavior, namely pinching behavior monitored.
Perilaku interaksi pornografi melalui internet dapat ditunjukkan melalui intensitas seseorang dalam mengakses situs/media dengan konten pornografi. Dampak dari seringnya individu mengakses pornografi sudah terasakan baik dalam hal perilaku secara individu maupun sosial. Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui efektivitas Modul Pelatihan Kontrol Diri yang dirancang oleh peneliti untuk mengurangi intensitas mengakses situs/media internet yang mengandung konten pornografi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 20 siswa kelas VII SMP ‘Y’ di Yogyakarta. Penelitian menggunakan one group pretest post test design. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan Skala Intensitas Akses Pornografi. Analisis data menggunakan paired sample t-test. Hipotesis dari penelitian ini adalah Pelatihan Kontrol Diri dapat mengurangi intensitas akses dengan situs/media yang mengandung unsur pornografi pada remaja. Hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan nilai p sebesar 0,000 (p < 0,01), mean pretest sebesar 56,00 dan mean posttest sebesar 39,11. Kesimpulan penelitian adalah Pelatihan Kontrol Diri efektif untuk mengurangi intensitas akses dengan media/situs internet yang mengandung unsur pornografi pada remaja.
Family plays an important role in assisting adolescents who are struggling to gain their identity However, for adolescents who have grown up in families that experience conflict or even violence, family conditions can be a factor that increases the risk of adolescents to experience internalizing and externalizing problems which lead to their lower Subjective Wellbeing (SWB). Group counseling with a cognitive behavioral approach known as religious cognitive behavior counseling (RCBC), is applied using Islamic prayer to change negative cognitive distortion or self-talk, in adolescents who experience family violence. The results showed that RCBC could significantly increase positive affect., t = -2.658; p-0.005 (P <0.01; and could significantly increase life satisfaction, t = -1.775, p = 0.042, p< 0.05. RCBC can be developed as an alternative intervention to increase SWB in adolescents.
Abstract. This study aims to determine the effect of group therapy with cognitive reconstruction techniques to reduce anxiety in grade VI elementary school students. The subjects in this study were grade VI students, male or female sex, and experiencing anxiety. Data collection methods in this study are through observation, interviews, Discussion Group Forums (FGD), and pre-test and post-test using the Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale (HARS). The data analysis technique used a non-parametric test with the Wilcoxon test. The results showed that there was a decrease in anxiety both qualitatively and quantitatively. Qualitative results indicate that participants can think positively, bolder, more confident, and try to do something happily, while the quantitative results show the value of Z = -2,371 with a significance of p = 0.018 (p <0. 05) on the HARS anxiety scale which means there was a significant difference between the anxiety experienced by participants before and after attending group therapy. Based on the results of the research that has been done it can be concluded that group therapy with cognitive reconstruction techniques can reduce anxiety levels in grade VI elementary school students.Keywords: anxiety, cognitive reconstruction, class VI students, group therapy
Penerimaan diri Orangtua dengan anak retardasi mental sangat diperlukan sebagai salah satu cara mensyukuri nikmat yang diberikan oleh Tuhan. Orangtua membutuhkan proses yang panjang untuk bisa menerima kondisi anaknya. Orangtua berperan sebagaimana mestinya yaitu menjaga keadaan anak, tetapi Orangtua tidak menjadikan diri sebagai "budak" anak. Penelitian ini bertujuan melihat gambaran penerimaan diri Orangtua pada anak yang mengalami retardasi mental. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah observasi dan wawancara, teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis tematik. Keterpercayaan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan triangulasi metode. Triangulasi metode berasal dari data observasi dan wawancara subjek. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa ketiga subjek menerima kondisi anak dengan baik. Terlihat dari subjek pertama sering mengajak anaknya ke pasar dan berkeliling komplek perumahan, subjek kedua meyakini anaknya merupakan rezeki dan tanggung jawab dari Tuhan kepada dirinya, serta subjek ketiga sering mengajak anaknya bersilaturahmi dengan keluarganya.
