Coastal communities are synonymous with sea and coast, in general, income from seafood and tourism. The education sector becomes a homework for the regional government to develop. Likewise, coastal communities in the city of Pekalongan, they still think the same as coastal communities in general. Then the right method or technique is needed in learning activities. The very basic method that must be introduced to coastal communities is BATIK learning (read, write and work). The BATIK method was introduced in the community, both at universities, high schools and elementary schools. This simple method can foster a literacy culture in the Pekalongan City community which is generally located on the coast of North Coast of Central Java. The Batik Method was introduced in Indonesian language learning in schools and universities. The purpose of this article is to describe the interest in learning of students and students in the Pekalongan City, introducing the BATIK method in learning (especially Indonesian) to students and students in the Pekalongan City. The research method uses the case study method. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis method uses the flow model. Data validity test uses triangulation test. The results showed that interest in learning especially Indonesian in Pekalongan City was still low, evidently the interest in reading, writing and making works was still low. The most appropriate and simple solution to arouse interest in learning Indonesian with the BATIK method (read, write and work).
Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masayarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pelatihan dan pendampingan dalam penyusunan laporan peneltian tindakan kelas (PTK). Peserta pelatihan ini merupakan guru di SMP Negeri 13 Pekalongan yang berjumlah 30 orang. Pelatihan dilakukan secara daring dan luring selama tiga kali pertemuan yang bertujuan menghasilkan laporan PTK sesuai permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh masing-masing guru. Hasil pelatihan menunjukan guru harus lebih meningkatkan pemahamannya terutama terkait mengidentifikasi permasalahan pembelajaran, menganalisis hasil PTK dan meningkatkan kesadaran dalam melaksanakan PTK.This community service activity aims to provide training and assistance in the preparation of classroom action research reports (CAR). The participants of this training are teachers at SMP Negeri 13 Pekalongan, totaling 30 people. The training was conducted online and offline for three meetings aimed at producing CAR reports according to the problems faced by each teacher. The results of the training show that teachers must further improve their understanding, especially regarding identifying learning problems, analyzing CAR results and increasing awareness in implementing Classroom Action Research.
<p style="text-align: justify;">Pendidikan merupakan salah satu hal yang penting dalam kehidupan. Era pendidikan online saat ini merupakan istilah yang cocok dengan digalakannya teknologi secara online dalam kegiatan pembelajaran, tak terkecuali dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia. Kecanggihan teknologi juga memberikan dampak secara langsung bagi para guru sebagai fasilitator pendidikan. Para guru tersebut dituntut untuk tetap mampu menjadi fasilitator pembelajaran dengan tidak mengenyampingkan penerapan metode <em>Student Centered Learning</em> (SCL). Mengapa demikian? Hal ini dikarenakan, SCL merupakan suatu metode yang menjadikan peserta didik sebagai pusat pembelajaran. Salah satu strategi pembelajaran dalam SCL ini adalah Jigsaw.</p><p style="text-align: justify;">Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah melakukan pendampingan kepada para guru dalam mengimplementasikan media online dengan fasilitas jigsaw di dalam sebuah pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia. Metode pelaksanaan dalam kegiatan ini adalah sosialisasi, pelatihan, pendampingan dan evaluasi. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah pelaksanaan pendampingan telah berjalan lancar. Pendampingan tersebut dilaksanakan secara daring dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia dengan menggunakan metode Jigsaw dengan menggunakan aplikasi E-Coole. Setiap tahapan dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini dilaksanakan secara efektif. Pada tahap akhir dilakukan evaluasi. Evaluasi tersebut diberikan kepada para guru dan peserta didik. Berdasarkan tahap evaluasi, diperoleh informasi bahwa melalui kegiatan pendampingan ini ditemukan hasil berupa adanya peningkatan kualitas para guru dalam mengoperasikan media online dengan strategi jigsaw yang ada di dalamnya. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dapat menambah referensi dan pilihan dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia dengan menggunakan metode Jigsaw ada di dalam aplikasi E-Coole.</p>
<p>The characteristics of children's behavior in the millennial era are marked by a strong mastery of digital media, so how do parents determine parenting to build a generation that does not accept the bad effects of the digital era, but uses all media wisely and for positive purposes. Family education is an effort to empower families to be able to exercise control over existing resources and active participation in character formation. The condition of the Covid-19 pandemic has forced families to be more attentive to the process of their children participating in their learning activities at school. Many families in Bandengan Village have difficulty guiding their children in learning activities, especially learning assistance during the Covid-19 pandemic. The majority of the people of Bandengan Village earn as casual laborers, small fishermen and factory workers. By implementing the <em>FKIP Mengajar</em> and mentoring program for independent study groups in Bandengan Village, it is hoped that it can help the people of Bandengan Village in the field of education, especially the problem of learning difficulties experienced by teenagers. The method used in this service is active participation and mentoring. This strategy can be summarized as follows: 1. Grouping of Adolescents according to School Age 2. Learning Assistance (school materials, Multi Literacy, and general skills,) 3. Formation of Independent Study Group 4. Independent learning group mentoring. The synergy between universities and the community is needed in a real form. FKIP Pekalongan University provides solutions to problems in the learning assistance of parents for their children. Independent learning group mentoring is a tangible form of solving learning mentoring problems in the community.</p><p><strong>Keywords : </strong>independent learning, family education, mentoring.</p>
