Ketersediaan sarana dan prasarana yang dirasa penting dapat mendukung program adiwiyata, dan pengambilan kebijakan sekolah terkait rencana anggaran untuk pengelolaan sarana dan prasarana pendukung ramah lingkungan, karena beberapa sekolah berbasis adiwiyata belum mengimplementasikan program adiwiyata secara optimal, sehingga perlu adanya identifikasi kelengkapan dan pemanfaatan sarana dan prasarana pendukung adiwiyata. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif, dengan objek penelitian di sekolah menengah atas negeri kota Yogyakarta, dengan cara purposive menggunakan data yang didapat dari Badan Lingkungan Hidup Kota Yogyakarta. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa, dari ketiga sekolah tersebut telah memenuhi dan ada beberapa sarana dan prasarana yang belum optimal dalam mendukung program adiwiyata, seperti air bersih, green house, pengolahan sampah, kantin dan perawatan gedung. Kelengkapan dan pemanfaatan sarana dan prasarana pendukung pelaksanaan program adiwiyata di jenjang sekolah menengah atas negeri khususnya yang memiliki program adiwiyata secara umum di kota Yogyakarta telah dimanfaatkan dengan baik dimana sekolah menengah atas negeri kota Yogyakarta telah memenuhi sarana dan prasarana sebagai pendukung pelaksanaan program adiwiyata. Namun ada beberapa sarana dan prasaran yang belum memadai seperti pengelolaan sampah untuk kompoting, green house, listrik, taman sekolah, dan kantin sehat.
Kurangnya atas kesadaran dan tanggung jawab terhadap lingkungannya yang menyebabkan terjadinya kerusakan lingkungan, sehingga perlunya komitmen agar dapat meningkatkan kesadaran terhadap sikap peduli lingkungan, dan pemerintah berusaha mengaplikasikan pendidikan yang berwawasan lingkungan. Tujuan pengabdian ini digunakan agar mengetahui penanaman karakter sadar lingkungan di sekolah berwawasan lingkungan yang ada disekolah. Metode yang dipakai ialah metode Pendidikan masyarakat disekolah dan bertempat di SMA Negeri 1 Jetis, subjek pengabdian yang dipakai ialah kepala sekolah, tim adiwiyata, wakil kepala sekolah, guru, dan siswa. Pemilihan sekolah memakai cara purposive sampling. Teknik pengabdian memakai teknik non test dengan menggunakan instrumen wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi, kemudian analisis data menggunakan cara triangulasi data. Hasil pengabdian yang dilaksanakan di SMAN 1 Jetis mendapatkan hasil sangat memenuhi, dimana SMAN 1 Jetis memperoleh nilai akhir 94,74. Secara keseluruhan sekolah telah mendukung aktivitas iekolah berwawasan lingkungan, dan telah dipakai dalam proses pembelajaran, serta keikutsertaan warga sekolah, dan adanya minat dari masyarakat sekolah akanimemotivasi diri sendiri sehingga orang lain mau berbuat hal sama sehingga, sekolah dapat mencapai tujuan dari sekolah yang berwawasan lingkungan dan berkelanjutan.

Human behavior that lacks awareness and responsibility for the environment can result in environmental damage. In this case, to form a character that loves the environment, the government tries to create environmentally sound education. The first component of the Adiwiyata school program policy in an integrated manner can involve all school members. However, the implementation in the field has not been fully implemented by the school community. The second component concerns the implementation of an environment-based curriculum where teachers or educators are competent so that the development of quality learning is related to the environment. The third component is participatory-based environmental protection activities. Adiwiyata's implementation that participatory-based environmental activities have standards for carrying out protection activities. Environmental protection and management activities are carried out such as composter, nursery all of which involve all school members. component the fourth of environmentally friendly facilities management means environment-friendly of a special allocation from Adiwiyata which is included in the school budget eco-friendly Facility arising from the purchase or grants from the agency.
The development and advancement of technology, human activities and behavior are not a few that have a bad impact on the environment due to the pollution produced. The concern of the educational environment is characterized by a specific environmental attitude made based on value-based theories. In the sense of environmental care for many environmental damages caused by human activities so that the surrounding environment becomes polluted and increases natural damage, this study aims to instill and increase a sense of environmental care starting from activities in schools, where schools are the initial place of an education to instill a sense of care for the environment. The method used in this study uses purposive sampling techniques with descriptive quantitative analysis techniques using interview, observation and document methods where the three methods are used complementary and equally strong in this study. The results of research that have been carried out by researchers at SMA 2 Bantul get very fulfilling results, where SMA N 2 Bantul obtained a final score of 96.49. On average, the school has supported an environmentally sound school curriculum, and has been used in the learning process, as well as the participation of school residents who maintain the school environment, and there is an interest from the school community in motivating themselves so that others are willing to do the same so that the school can achieve the goals of an environmentally sound and sustainable school.
