The Covid-19 pandemic, which is seen as a source of crisis worldwide, has also had negative effects in many ways in the tourism industry. In this process, it is important to find out the problems caused by the Covid-19 pandemic and its solutions to tourism businesses. The aim of the research is to determine the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic in the tourism industry, to evaluate the views of hotel managers and to offer solutions to problems in hotels. The research data were collected through face-to-face interviews with the hotel managers in Bodrum-Muğla. The interviews, in which a semi-structured interview technique was used to collect data, were held between July-September 2020. The data were analyzed with the descriptive analysis technique. The analysis was respectively carried out as the conceptual structure, modelling of data, organizing data through tables, and interpretation of findings. As a result, it has been revealed that the Covid-19 pandemic affects hotel businesses economically, socially and psychologically.
The purpose of this study is to reveal the effect of cognitive and affective risk perceptions that the employees perceive due to COVID-19 on their well-being. Another purpose is to reveal the mediating role of understanding of COVID-19 in the impact of the risk perceptions perceived by the employees due to COVID-19 on their well-being. The data of the study were collected between December 15, 2020 and February 15, 2021. It was found that cognitive and affective risk perceptions caused by COVID-19 significantly and negatively affected the well-being of the employees.

ÖzMedikal turizm, ülke ekonomisine yaptığı katkı ile sağlık turizm çeşitleri arasında önemli bir paya sahiptir. İstanbul'un da bu payda ciddi bir etkisi olmaktadır. İstanbul'un medikal turizmde özellikle özel hastanelerde var olan potansiyelinin geliştirilmesi ve kamu hastanelerinde medikal turizm faaliyetlerinin daha etkin gerçekleştirilebilmesi için sektörün durumunun ortaya konulmasının önemli olduğu düşünülmüştür. Bu kapsamda hastane yöneticileri ve kamu hastanesi başhekim/başhekim yardımcıları ile mülakatlar gerçekleştirilmiştir. Aynı zamanda hekimler ile gerçekleştirilen anket ile İstanbul'un medikal turizm potansiyeli, SWOT analizi ile değerlendirilmiştir. Araştırmanın önemli sonuçları arasında işletmelere verilen desteklerin etkin olduğu ve desteklerin verilmeye devam etmesinin beklendiği, sektörün ihtiyacının profesyonel aracı kurumlar olduğu belirlenmiştir. Kamu hastanelerinde etkin medikal turizm faaliyetleri için fiziki iyileştirmelerin hızlandırılmasına ve sağlık çalışanlarının yabancı dil eğitimi için eğitimler düzenlenmesine ihtiyaç olduğu görülmektedir. SWOT analizi sonuçlarının önemli bulguları arasında ise, İstanbul'da sunulan sağlık hizmetlerinin diğer ülkelere göre daha ucuz olması İstanbul için en önemli fırsat iken, İstanbul'da yaşanan terör olaylarının en önemli tehdit unsuru olduğu görülmüştür.
With the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, many sectors have begun to be affected. The tourism sector is one such sector and has been heavily affected by restrictions on international movement of. Affected by this situation, hotels have decided to close their doors or have adopted a limited-service approach. For this reason, tourism employees have become unable to see their way in an uncertain process and have encountered different practices such as hourly paid work, being sent on unpaid leave, and being given a short-term employment allowance. The reflections of this negative impact on the employees are a matter of curiosity. In this context, this study aims to reveal the relationship between job insecurity, organizational commitment, and turnover intention in five-star hotels during the COVID-19. To enable this, data were collected using a questionnaire. The study results support the conceptual model that includes the variables of job insecurity, organizational commitment, turnover intention and organizational response to COVID-19. Organizational Response to COVID-19 was found to have a negative and significant effect on job insecurity and also to have a positive and significant effect on organizational commitment. Job insecurity has a negative and significant effect on organizational commitment. Organizational commitment has a negative and significant effect on turnover intention and job insecurity was found to have a positive and significant effect on turnover intention.
