This research was motivated by the low thinking level of SMK Mega Link Majene students in solving higher-order thinking problems and inadequate math teachers using mathematics applications in the learning process. This study aims to develop student worksheets assisted by the GeoGebra application to develop higher-order thinking skills. This research is Research and Development (RnD) using the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The participants were 27 eleventh-grade students of SMK Mega Link Majene. The instruments were tests, student activity observation sheets, teacher implementation sheets, and questionnaires. The student worksheets should meet the characteristic of helping students develop higher-order thinking skills–analyzing, evaluating, and creating. The results showed that the student worksheets were in the valid category. The worksheets also fulfilled the practicality category: the learning implementation was well-executed, and met the effectiveness categories: (1) the students’ high-level thinking ability in mathematics on average was in the high category; (2) student activity was in the very active category; and (3) student responses to the student worksheets assisted by the GeoGebra application obtained a very positive response. The findings implied that the development of student worksheets assisted by the GeoGebra application met the valid, practical, and effective criteria.
This research is an experimental study that aims to determine the effectiveness of using the GeoEnzo application. The subjects in this study were students of class XII SMK Mega Link Majene. The research instrument was used to reveal students’ metacognitive abilities in understanding and solving problems on three-dimensional material. The instruments used were tests, observation sheets, and student response questionnaires. The data analysis used was descriptive and inferential statistical analysis. The results of the analysis showed that the average value of students’ metacognitive abilities in understanding the material was 82.75 in the high category, while the metacognitive ability in solving questions was 85.25 in the high category. Student activities are in the very active category and student responses to learning give a very positive response. The t-test shows the sig value. (2-tailed) = 0.000 < α = 0.05, thus the application of GeoEnzo application media is effective for students’ metacognitive abilities in mathematics learning.
This research is an experimental study that aims to see the effectiveness of instructional media based on Mandar culture, in this case, lipa ’ sa’be Mandar. The instrument used in this study was a test to measure the ability of mathematical representations, student activity observation sheets, and student responses to learning. The subjects of this study were 30 students of class X TKJ SMK Mega Link Majene. The data analysis used is descriptive and inferential statistical analysis. The analysis results showed that the average value of the students’ mathematical representation ability was 90.97 in the medium category. Student activities are in the very active category, namely 80%, and student responses to learning give a very positive response of 80%. The t-test shows the value of sig. (2-tailed) = 0,000 < α = 0,05, thus the application of lipa’ sa’be Mandar learning media is effective on students’ mathematical representation abilities.
This study aims to determine how the process and results of trigonometric learning designs that utilize sibaliparriq values as a learning model. This type of research is RnD (Research and Development) research which refers to the Dick and Carey development model with the procedure using the Mc Kenney cycle, which includes three stages, namely preliminary design, prototyping phase and assessment phase. The trigonometric learning design has been designed and validated and revised according to expert advice. The subjects of this study were students of Al Asyariah Mandar University, who took trigonometry courses. The trial results show that the design is effective and practical, namely (i) the average value obtained by students on the trigonometric learning outcome test is in the high category is 61,76. Students who complete the mastery are 29 out of 34 students or 85.29%. (ii) lecturers in implementing learning in accordance with the semester learning plan and are in the very high category. (iii) students are more active in learning. (iv) students generally respond very positively to learning. Thus, the trigonometric learning design process and results utilize the value of sibaliparriq as a learning model for quality Al Asyariah Mandar University students, namely meeting the criteria of validity, practicality, and effectiveness.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
