The development policy in Maluku Province cannot separate from the small islands that dominate the areas. Its central potentials are in the field of fisheries, agriculture, and mining. This research aims to analyze the potentials of the leading sector and to formulate policy priorities for regional development in Maluku Province. The research used in this research is Location Quotient (LQ), Growth-Ratio Model (MRP), Overlay, SWOT and Analytic Network Process (ANP). The results showed that in Maluku Province there are eight economic categories that have base sectors. The result of Growth-Ratio Model (MRP) shows that the sector with the highest average the ratio of growth in the study area (RPs) is mining and quarrying sector. Furthermore, Overlay analysis shows that government administration, defense, social security sectors are obliged to contribute to and the highest growth. The result of SWOT-ANP shows that policy priority in regional development is the acceleration of infrastructure development
Arisan or Rotating Savings and Credit Associations (ROSCAs) constitute one of the most commonly found informal financial institutions in the developing world. This study aims to analyze the effect of Rotating Savings And Credit Associations (ROSCAs) on poverty in Indonesia using panel data sourced from the fourth and fifth wave of the Family Life Survey (IFLS). This study used a conditional logit or fixed effect logit to see the effect of Rotating Savings and Credit Associations (ROSCAs) participation and control variables, which include individual, household, and community characteristics on poverty variables that are binary or categorized. The results showed that Rotating Savings and Credit Associations (ROSCAs) participation can reduce poverty. Meanwhile, this study shows that women who participate in Rotating Savings and Credit Associations (ROSCAs) can reduce poverty significantly. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh arisan (ROSCAs) terhadap kemiskinan di Indonesia dengan menggunakan data panel yang bersumber dari Indonesia Family Life Survey (IFLS) gelombang keempat dan kelima. Metodologi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Conditional Logit atau Fixed Effect Logit untuk melihat pengaruh variabel partisipasi arisan dan variabel kontrol yang meliputi karakteristik individu, rumah tangga, dan komunitas terhadap variabel kemiskinan yang bersifat biner atau kategori. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa partisipasi arisan dapat mengurangi kemiskinan. Selain itu, penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa perempuan yang berpartisipasi dalam arisan dapat mengurangi kemiskinan secara signifikan. Kata kunci: Kemiskinan, arisan, IFLS, conditional logit
The economic structural change on the output side is accompanied by the reallocation of labour from the agricultural sector to the industrial sector. Some studies show the different effects of labour reallocation on labour productivity growth. This study analyses labour productivity growth in the manufacturing sector in relation to economic structural changes in Indonesia. The analytical methods used are shiftshare and panel data regression models using secondary data of 30 provinces from 2003-2014. The results show economic structural change through labour reallocation decreases growth of labour productivity (structural burden) although productivity continues to grow.
