The purpose of this study was to determine the importance of implementing disaster mitigation education in schools during the new normal era of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). The method in this research used descriptive research design using a survey study approach. The research instrument used was a knowledge test with the number of questions as many as 15 items. The sample used was senior high school students who were randomly selected. The level of good and lack of knowledge is determined based on the average total score. A good level of knowledge has a condition> 111.76, while a level of knowledge that lacks a condition <111.76. The results of this study are that the majority of respondents have a total score that is less with a mean score of 101.94, while respondents who have a good number of scores have an average score of 127. Overall respondents have an average of 111.76. Then conducted an Independent Sample t-test with the result that there are differences in the number of good disaster mitigation knowledge scores on respondents with the number of disaster mitigation knowledge scores that are less on respondents with a p-value of 0,000 with a degree of freedom is 95%. The implementation of disaster education in the new normal era is important to continue to prevent transmission of COVID-19. The conclusion of this study is the score of students' knowledge about disaster needs to be improved in the new normal era. The aim of this article is to find out how the influence of exploitation of aquatic natural resourceson the poverty of fishing communities. The method in this article used a descriptive research design forusing a literature study approach. Based on the type of research and the type of data source used, the datacollection technique in this study is used the secondary data. The results in this study can be seen in twoaspects, are: (1) the ease of foreign investments that can be exploit for the natural resources of fisheries inIndonesia; (2) the influence of exploitation of the natural resources of the waters carried out on poverty inthe fisihing community. Exploitation of aquatic natural resources in Indonesia is due to the ease with whichforeign parties can be invest in Indonesia in the field of fisheries, and then this ease of investment fromforeign parties results in the intervention of foreign parties who can to control the natural waters resourcesin Indonesia, both in the form a legal entitiy or in the form of an individual, it can be also for drain thenatural waters resources, especially fisheries in Indonesia, and which can to be affect the walfare of fishingcommunities.
Pendidikan mitigasi telah diakui secara luas memiliki dampak yang positif dalam upaya pengurangan risiko, serta para ahli sangat merekomendasikan bahwa setiap individu manusia dituntut untuk dapat mandiri dan meningkatkan keterampilannya dalam melakukan mitigasi dan adaptasi. Tujuan dari pelaksanaan pengabdian ini adalah untuk dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan dan merubahn perilaku masyarakat dengan cara memberikan pendidikan kepada masyarakat secara langsung. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian ini adalah dengan ceramah, demonstrasi dan diskusi. Hasil dari pelaksanaan pengabdian ini adalah menujukkan bahwa rerata nilai pengetahuan masyarakat sebelum diberikan materi adalah sebesar 43.8 dan mengalami peningkatan menjadi 69.20. adapun pada rerata skor perilaku masyarakat yang juga mengalami peningkatan yang pada awalnya sebesar 41, kemudian mengalami peningkatan sebesar 45 point.
Abstract. Flood mitigation is an urgent matter to be carried out during the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19). The purpose of this activity was to provide information to the community related to flood mitigation to empower the knowledge and skills of flood disaster mitigation. The method used in this service is counseling and discuss with each other. There were 38 community participants from various regions in Jakarta. This dedication activity is carried out online through the zoom application because during the COVID-19 pandemic period physical distancing was carried out. The results of this activity show that there is an increase in the score of disaster mitigation knowledge and skills after participating in counseling activities. The conclusion of this activity was that the flood mitigation counseling activity succeeded in empowering community disaster mitigation knowledge and skills. Keywords: COVID-19, disaster mitigation, flooding.Abstrak. Mitigasi bencana banjir menjadi sebuah hal urgen yang harus dilakukan disaat pandemik Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19). Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah untuk memberikan penyuluhan kepada masyarakat terkait dengan mitigasi banjir untuk memberdayakan pengetahuan dan keterampilan mitigasi bencana banjir. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah dengan penyuluhan dan tanta jawab. Peserta kegiatan berjumlah 38 orang masyarakat yang berasal dari berbagai wilayah di Jakarta. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilakukan secara online melalui aplikasi zoom dikarenakan selama masa pandemik COVID-19 untuk dilakukan physical distancing (menjaga jarak). Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukan bahwa terjadi peningkatan skor pengetahuan dan keterampilan mitigasi bencana setelah pserta mengikuti kegiatan penyuluhan. Kesimpulan dari kegiatan ini adalah bahwa kegiatan penyuluhan mitigasi banjir berhasil memberdayakan pengetahuan dan keterampilan mitigasi bencana masyarakat.Kata Kunci: COVID-19, banjir, mitigasi bencana
