The objective of the article is to identify the nature of the impact of the pandemic on the quality of education and the image of a university that uses distance education and artificial intelligence. The research methodology includes a complex of general scientific and special methods. A questionnaire and detailed interview have been formed with regard to the indicators of the leading rating systems of higher education. The data obtained have been summarized and analyzed using a focus group. The regression analysis has been used to examine the connection between students' motives for making life easier in the context of the pandemic and distance education and the dangers of the professor-student-administration system. The sustainable links and tendencies of changes in the quality of education and the image of a university have been revealed. The following traps for students are referred to the stable connections: the absence of a valid system of control over the authorship of the executed works; the possibility of the unauthorized use of various electronic sources during the answer; the coronavirus quarantine leads to the erasure of the boundaries between the study and everyday life, personal space and social environment of students; the growth of students' desire to have high marks in the subjects with the decrease of interest to study. Tendencies: the increase of the workload of professors and supporting (technical) staff; constant redistribution of time spent on the performance of official duties with a different degree of efficiency; the growth of willingness, a desire of the administration and university professors to improve the competitiveness of the university as a high-tech educational organization, included in the world map of science; the growth of dissatisfaction with the distance form of education, the degree of efficiency of return on investment in human development; the decrease in the responsibility of students to acquire knowledge through distance learning. The practical relevance of the work lies in the possibility of considering the identified sustainable links and tendencies to improve the education system at both national and global levels. This will enable attention to problem areas at the local level to achieve their overcoming with minimal financial and human losses through proactive actions. The theoretical relevance of the work lies in adding scientific and methodological elements to the theoretical foundations of the concept of development of higher education. The authors studied for the first time the problems of the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the quality of education and the image of a university. The originality of the research is determined by the original methodological model, which allowed the participants of the educational process to assess the essence of the ongoing changes associated with the coronavirus quarantine and with the help of an expert group to identify sustainable links and tendencies in changes in the quality of education and the image of a university
МОЛОДЁЖЬ И МОЛОДЁЖНАЯ ПОЛИТИКА В ВЕЛИКОБРИТАНИИ Аннотация. В статье рассмотрено текущее положение молодых людей и опыт реализации молодёжной политики в Великобритании после брекзита на основе анализа результатов глубинного интервьюирования гражданских служащих высшего звена, представителей высших учебных заведений, общественных организаций, занимающихся проблемами молодёжи. Уточнены институциональные основы молодёжной политики. На основе экспертного мнения выделены характеристики современного положения молодёжи, наличие таких проблем, как рост бедности, незанятость, недостаточный уровень образования, наличие этнических, социальных, расовых препятствий для успешного построения карьеры, рост враждебного отношения к иммигрантам. После обзора мнения экспертов предлагается дискуссия об эффективности реализации молодёжной политики, о новых вызовах для молодёжи. Сделан вывод о недостаточной эффективности молодёжной политики в условиях роста агрессии в обществе после брекзита. Привлечено внимание к проблемам радикализации молодёжи, абсентеизма и к других показателям слабой роли молодёжи в политической жизни страны. Обоснована необходимость усиления молодёжной политики с целью повышения политической сознательности, обеспечения межкультурного диалога среди проживающих в стране представителей разных этносов и религиозных групп, интеграции иммигрантов в принимающее общество, формирования гражданской идентичности. The article discusses the nature of the influence of artificial intelligence on the development of human potential from the point of view of the Orthodox clergy and their parishioners. Methodologically, surveys and statistics were used to find out the opinion of the study subjects. A common phenomenon in the study was a unique consolidated position of all categories of Orthodox respondents on the danger that artificial intelligence represents. Most Orthodox are concerned about the unpredictability of creating and using artificial intelligence, especially in a pandemic. The authors considered the position of clergy, parishioners with and without a church on the nature of artificial intelligence's influence on human potential, the threats and risks to humans that come from artificial intelligence. The main advantage of the work is the results obtained on the basis of the comparative analysis of the positions of different categories of orthodox respondents on the nature of the influence of artificial intelligence on the development of human potential. In conclusion, the results can be used to develop a categorical-conceptual apparatus, to systematize knowledge about the use of artificial intelligence in the social and spiritual spheres.
The high dynamics of changes in the socio-cultural environment under the influence of the digitalization of society and the introduction of artificial intelligence requires a timely study of emerging phenomena and problems for a quick and adequate response. Despite the fact that today, management decisions are made by representatives of the older generations, the near future will be shaped on the basis of the opinion of young people – generation Z (GenZ). The aim of the article was to study the nature of the impact of digitalization and artificial intelligence on the socio-cultural environment through the prism of the views of generation Z students. Research methods: a set of general scientific and special methods. The main empirical research methods were a sociological survey based on the online service Google Form, an in-depth interview, and a focus group using communication programs. The study was conducted with the involvement of Russian and Slovak students from GenZ, taking into account the restrictions associated with the COVID 19 pandemic. The sociological survey was conducted among students of 35 leading universities in Russia (n = 1881) and 2 universities in Slovakia n = 316 people. The selection of respondents was made by the “snowball” method through a chain of redirecting questionnaires to generation Z students and attracting additional subjects to the study. As a result of the study, it was found that the impact of digitalization and artificial intelligence on society is complex, contradictory and ambiguous, the depth and extent of the impact of which has not yet been studied. For the first time, the authors revealed the similarities and differences in the positions of Russian and Slovak students of GenZ in their various combinations. There was revealed a statistical significance between the factorial and effective signs (p <0.001) with a very high positive correlation. Pearson's correlation coefficient is in the range R = 0.973-9902. At the same time, 66% of Russian and 65% of Slovak GenZ believe that digitalization of society and AI will create favorable conditions for the training and development of youth, employment of university graduates; 55% of Slovak respondents (against 42% of Russian) believe that these processes will deepen social inequality in society. Risks of a decrease in human intellectual abilities have been identified against the background of digitalization and AI coverage of the entire social environment, but they have not yet reached their peak values. As a result, the main factors influencing the socio-cultural environment were formulated, the dependence in the triad system "student-teacher-university administration" was revealed: the longer distance education lasts in the context of the COVID 19 pandemic, the less students are willing to return to the offline format. The following trends were revealed: growth of some advantage of generation Z in employment in the context of digitalization and the introduction of artificial intelligence against the backdrop of the COVID 19 pandemic; reducing the time of interaction with the digital environment, monitor screens for rich people. The results obtained in the future are applicable to the development of the theory of digitalization and the use of artificial intelligence in the social environment, the upbringing of generation Z.
