Purpose This study aims to present research evidence on the relevance of online gamification flip learning as a pedagogical instruction in promoting learning engagement when college students are impacted by the coronavirus pandemic. In this study, a gamified formative assessment was used to examine learner engagement and to evaluate the effectiveness of gamification within a synchronous online flipped instruction. Design/methodology/approach A multiphase mixed methods research design was used for this study. The evaluation relied on triangulated evidence gathered through questionnaire surveys and semi-structured interviews administered at an Indonesian college setting. Findings Based on the findings, gamified learning and formative assessments that adopt online flipped approaches have shown a positive bearing on learner engagement, despite the challenges learners face while harrowing through times of calamity. The results of this study provide prima facie support for the claim that the use of interactive gamified e-quizzes proves to be an innovative means of stimulating student engagement during the online class. Originality/value The results further suggest that a learning framework that incorporates both online flipped and gamification techniques provide the stimulus that is likely to forge an emotional connection that can inspire learner engagement, much needed when learners rally through calamitous events. This study has established evidential links between gamification and flipped classroom instructional delivery, particularly for online class settings. It is well-anticipated that gamification flip learning can continue to be implemented either in online, blended or face-to-face class instruction and particularly after the time of the pandemic.
Anak merupakan amanah dan karunia Tuhan Yang Maha Esa yang memiliki harkat dan martabat sebagai manusia seutuhnya. Untuk menjaga harkat dan martabatnya, anak berhak mendapatkan pelindungan khusus, terutama pelindungan hukum dalam sistem peradilan. Adapun tujuan penelitian yaitu untuk mengetahui bagaimanakah penerapan restorative justice terhadap anak yang berhadapan dengan hukum di Kota Banda Aceh serta hambatannya dalam penerapan restorative justice. Penelitian hukum yang digunakan adalah yuridis empiris (sosiologis) dilakukan analis secara deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian antara lain penerapan restorative justice dilksanakan sesuai dengan ketentuan yang berlaku baik ditingkat kepolisian, kejaksaan maupun pengadilan serta Badan Narkatika Nasional di Aceh. Hambatan dalam pelaksanaan restorative justice adalah uang ganti rugi yang begitu besar, tidak sesuai dengan perbuatan yang dilakukan oleh anak. Selanjutnya, belum meratanya pemahaman aparatur desa dalam melakukan restorative justice terhadap anak yang berhadapan hukum
Before the emergence of Covid-19 which developed throughout the world, the Indonesian Central Government had issued Law Number 6 of 2014 concerning Villages, which is a policy that regulates the level of Village administration. However, in this law there is no allocation of development funds and village empowerment which is the basis of the community at the level of village government administration (Gampong). Funds sourced from APBN, APBD Province or Regency, hope to support the progress of the village to become an independent village capable of organizing and managing. The allocation of village funds in the form of a Village Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBG) is directed to finance government activities, development and community empowerment. For this reason, the Government has issued a special policy to handle Covid-19 by allocating Village Funds to address problems arising from the Covid-19 pandemic. Especially for the economic sector through the formation of Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMG) which is a business driver to improve the quality of life and realize the welfare of rural communities. With a descriptive qualitative approach using three methods, namely observation, interviews and documentation analysis. This study aims to determine business potential with local wisdom through a SWOT analysis with a focus on Village-Owned Enterprises. Based on the SWOT analysis, in the end, Village-Owned Enterprises will facilitate activities in realizing plans in accordance with local wisdom for the welfare of the community, especially in the era of the Covid-19 pandemic.
This study reported that the Regulation of the State Minister for Women's Empowerment and Child Protection Number 11 of 2011 concerning Child-Friendly City Development has been executed through the equipment of public facilities for children in the Lhokseumawe city, Aceh Province. However, this program has not effectively been implemented and well-designed. Numerous obstacles are found such as a lack of friendly public spaces supported for children and no restrictions on smoking in public places. Therefore, the improvement and evaluation for the Child-Friendly City Development are needed in the city. This study suggests that the local government should immediately issue a policy on providing free certificates for children and building friendly public spaces. Another effort is to encourage society to actively participated in the program through campaigning the Child-Friendly City Development program. The authors also suggested that if the city is planned to be expanded into a friendly city for children, the local government must fulfill supported public facilities such as schools, libraries, playgrounds, and so on. All facilities must also meet the safety and comfort for children, and be safe from child abuse (e.g., violence, discrimination, racism, sexual abuse, and excessive exposure to children's data).
Demi terlaksananya penanganan fakir miskin dalam rangka pemberian bantuan sosial kepada fakir miskin yang optimal, efektif dan efisien yang dilaksanakan instansi pemerintah, perlu ditinjau ulang dari segi penetapan penerima bantuan sosial oleh Pemerintah Pusat, Provinsi dan Kabupaten yang bersumber dari Data Terpadu Kesejahteraan Sosial (DTKS) pada Aplikasi Sistem Informasi Kesejahteraan Sosial Next Generation (SIKS-NG) serta perlu dilaksanakan proses monitoring dan evaluasi terhadap penerima bantuan sosial yang tidak layak guna dilakukan graduasi mandiri dan sejahtera, sehingga menghasilkan pemberian bantuan sosial yang tepat sasaran. Berdasarkan uraian ini, maka penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat secara dekat bagaimana Optimalisasi Pemberian Bantuan Sosial Kepada Fakir Miskin pada Dinas Sosial, Pemberdayaan Perempuan dan Perlindungan Anak Kabupaten Aceh Utara serta kendala dan hambatan dalam pelaksanaannya. Jenis Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah jenis pendekatan kualitatif, yang bersifat deskriptif. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa permasalahan sosial terhadap fakir miskin yang terjadi di Kabupaten Aceh Utara semakin kompleks dan terus berkembang. Kondisi ini menuntut Pemerintah Kabupaten Aceh Utara untuk memberikan prioritas terhadap penyelenggaraan kesejahteraan sosial di bidang Penanganan Fakir Miskin. Hal ini relevan dengan populasi dan kompleksitas permasalahan sosial yang ada di Kabupaten Aceh Utara yang cenderung mengalami peningkatan.
