According to the examination of the 17-year-old girl in the Child Protection and Monitoring Center, Karadeniz Technical Universtiy, it is detected that there is a natural notch at three o'clock on the annuler hymen, the hymen of medium width is not elastic, there is not any area with tear or scarification, and the aperture is 1,5 cm. The measurements of the person showed pregnancy compatible with 37 weeks on the examination date. With respect to Article 103 of Criminal Code of the Republic of Turkey, "Any person who sexually abuses the child shall be sentenced to a penalty of imprisonment for a term of eight to fifteen years. In case of performance of sexual abuse by inserting an organ or instrument into a body, the offender is sentenced to imprisonment of no less than sixteen years." Results: A total of 108 cases were evaluated in the age range of 18-64 years. According to the anamnesis taken, the medical records examined, the tests applied and the psychological status examination, the decisions given were that 56 (51.9%) were restricted in the context of item 405 TMK (Turkish Civil Code), 3 (2.8%) could be restricted on request in the context of item 408 TMK, 11 (10.2%) could be taken into custody in situations determined as threatening him/herself or his/her family with hardship or poverty through extravagance, poor lifestyle and poor management of assets, 4 (3.7%) were defined as eligible for the appointment of a legal advisor and 34 (31.5%) were not determined with any state requiring custody.Conclusion: In this study, it was found that the most common disorder in people between the ages of 18-65 that affects legal capacity was mental retardation. The obtained findings indicated that a special approach should be taken in the evaluation of the legal capacity of the non-geriatric age group.
Objective: The concept of child mothers includes individuals who have given birth below the age of 18 years. In this study, the subject is addressed of individuals who have given birth at a much younger age (10 years and below). Material and methods: Studies were examined from different countries to examine the information on the ages of cases, types of birth and by whom they had been made pregnant. Results: The child mothers had been made pregnant by the husband in 3 (3%) cases, by the stepfather in 11 (12%) cases, by a relative in 30 (32.4%) cases and by others in 35 (37.8%) cases. In 29 caes (31.3%) the identity of the father was not known. Conclusion: This study aimed to be a reminder of the need to overcome child abuse, which is masked by the excuses of religion or tradition, by presenting a reminder of the reality of 'mothers below the age of 10 years'. Better identification and increased awareness of child abuse will prevent the confusion of it with the historical concept of child mother. By presenting a reminder of one of the greatest shames of humanity in the last century, it is aimed to create an awareness against the concept of child abuse and child bride/child mother.
