The purpose of this study was to discover the peculiarities of students’ physical activities that study at higher educational institutions with kinesiology and health majors in the setting of COVID-19 pandemic. In order to accomplish it, an online survey was conducted among a total of 236 students of Lviv State University of Physical Culture named after Ivan Boberskyj. With its help, we were able to determine both domestic and organized physical activity levels’ self-assessments of the sample group before and during the quarantine restrictions. The majority of the students evaluated their physical activity levels as “excellent” and “good”. No significant changes among the physical activity assessments were not tracked during the quarantine restrictions. We established that 59% of the study group had regularly visited gyms before the pandemic breakout and 12% of the students systematic did home exercises. The remainder of active students (26%) exercised seldom. Before the pandemic, only 3% of the participants had not engaged themselves into organized physical activities. We observed an overall studentship physical activity decrease in terms of instances and intensity during the quarantine limitations. The forms of physical activities were substantially changed. Thus, the students began to stroll more often, as well as train alone or with online-coaches. Cardio and muscle strengthening remained dominant among activities both before and after the quarantine. After the quarantine restriction weakening, half of the study group re-embarked on gym training. 28% of the students continued exercising the same way they did during the quarantine. 12% of the respondents exercised on their owns. 7% of the participants did not return to training. With the respect to the results of this study, we can infer that Ukrainian students prefer group exercises where they can interact with either coach or other participant of the training sessions, as well as modern technologies cannot fully fulfill their needs of physical activity.
Specialists say that the issue of understanding of influence mechanism of physical activity on psychological health of children and teenagers is not investigated thoroughly. This concerns primarilycollege students, fortheir age equals to that of high school pupils.Psycho-emotional processes in the students’ consciousness and behavior atthat ageare caused by the end of biological and physical development and adaptation to new conditions of studying and living. Our previous research allowed us to determine the condition and dynamics of psycho-emotional indicators during the first academic year against the background of low physical activity. The question of how particular physical activity influences the dynamics of these indicators among college students remains to be unanswered. The aim of the research is to determine the dynamics of indicators of psycho-emotional condition among 15–16 years old students from Medical College. Research methods and techniques like analysis and generalization of scientific literature, documentation, pedagogical observation, SAN and mathematical statistics were applied. The results of the research. Any reliable changes towards either more positive or negative side have not been detected among students from Experimental Group (EG), though indicators of well-being and mood of students from Control Group (CG) have considerably decreased (p≤0,05) during the pedagogical experiment. The reliable deterioration of the CG students’ well-beingfrom have been noticed in comparison with the EG students on the 2nd stage of the experiment. The conclusions. The data obtained from the pedagogical experiment have proved the positive effect of implementation of team-building techniques into physical education of college students on their psycho-emotional condition indicators.
There is justified in the article the importance of the need to improve physical education process for high school students with CrossFit tools. There have occurred positive changes in high school students’ dynamics in the EG in functional indicators and physical preparation in the experiment condition. The optimization of physical education process for high school pupils with CrossFit tools. There were observed the indicators of physical condition of organism, physical preparation and experimentally checked the effectiveness of the program with CrossFit tools implemented into physical education process. There were 63 pupils as participants in the research (boys, 16 years old). Analysis of literature sources, phyiological methods of research, pedagogical researches (control norms passing); pedagogical experiment; mathematical statistics methods. There is presented and scientifically justified program of CrossFit tools implementation into physical education lessons for high scool pupils. The content of progam includes combination of power and aerobic exercises, stretching, and exercises to restore breath and to relax muscles. The elaborated program is implemented into studying program and there was proved its effectiveness. The results of research have shown its positive impact on fucntional indicators and physical preparation of hish school pupils, that is proved by mathematical statistics methods.
