Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic began to strike all communities around the world at the end of 2019. The spread of COVID-19 can occur quickly through splashes from the nose or mouth that come out when an infected person coughs, sneezes, or speaks. People should always be vigilant to avoid COVID-19 infection. Many things have been done as a form of prevention, such as creating an application that provides health-related information, especially about COVID-19. But its existence has not been able to meet the needs of users. Based on that problem, the author provides a solution by designing the user experience of a mobile-based application for COVID-19 information. The purpose of this design is to provide a design of user experience that can meet the needs, easy to use, and provide a memorable experience for users. The design is processed using Human Centered Design (HCD) method. The final result for the system design is a high fidelity prototype which is then evaluated using usability testing techniques. Usability testing is done to test 3 aspects of usability, that is aspect of effectiveness, efficiency, and satisfaction. The results of the evaluation resulted some problems that were then improved by producing 4 improvement recommendations.
