Political knowledge influences political behavior and political participation as the person who has sufficient political knowledge will contribute his part in political issues and get engage himself in political campaigns. Hence, a politically informed person put an impact upon others by sharing his views and information. Now a day social media has revolutionized the world due to its unlimited features, and it made it easier for everyone to spread the news and especially the political content. Different political parties use social media platforms to engage their voters and especially youth. This study suggests that social media plays a critical role for youngsters to disseminate information regarding politics and affects the internal and external efficacy of youth by the transmission of knowledge and political participation through social media.
Research was designed to evaluate the credibility perception of youth regarding different mainstream and new media sources of political news. This study adopted questionnaire survey method as a research design of the study. The sample was drawn using probability proportional to size (PPS) and random sampling techniques. For the purpose of investigation, 375 respondents from Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan’s approved universities/degree awarding institutions (DAIs) were selected for the purpose of data collection. The findings of the study revealed that in case the respondents are encountered with the conflicting version of political news stories, they considered traditional TV news channels and newspapers as first and second most credible political news sources respectively. Additionally, it was also found that the majority of the youth perceived live streaming of traditional TV news channels and news websites that are associated with the mainstream news sources (traditional TV news channels and newspapers) as first and second most credible online sources of political news respectively. Additionally, this research also found that the majority of the respondents considered non-governmental sources of political news as most credible. Overall, the study concluded that the respondents still perceived traditionally delivered political news as highly credible sources of political news. The present research was designed to evaluate the effects of audio visual aids on the learning process of student of Multan city in Punjab (Pakistan).This study employed field observation method as a research design of this research. For the purpose of measurement, the researcher has installed hidden cameras inside the classrooms and followed the covert observation for measuring the level of attention of the students through recoding during the lecture. The sample was drawn using convenient sampling techniques. For the purpose of investigation, 112 research subjects from Punjab government’s registered school were selected for the purpose of data collection. The findings of the study revealed that the experimental group students got better grade than control group. 57.1% students secure A and 42.9% students secure b grade. Findings further explained that a majority of the students form experimental group have high and medium level of attention in multimedia lecture. The study concluded that education with the help of audio visual (A/V) aids is more beneficial for school going students.
This study examined the priority of a young generation regarding the selection of medium for news consumption of Multan city. The rationale of the research was to explore the authority of Social Networking Medium (SNM) and explored the comparison between both genders about the consumption of media for repeated information seeking. Moreover, a survey questionnaire methodology used to explore the priorities of the youth and the sample size was five hundred in total using the purposive sampling technique. The study gave a clear hint that the use of Social Networking Medium (SNM) for news acquiring was 56 percent which is greater than the traditional media (print media), which was 44 percent. The study also pinned the point that the youth is consuming the newspaper for relevant information more than Facebook. Overall findings of the study illustrated that Social Network Medium (SNM) is the foremost source of news and information among the youth of Multan.
