This study aims to describe the character values expressed by students in fantasy stories, describe how students express character values in fantasy stories, and describe what character values are dominant in fantasy stories. The method used in this study is a descriptive qualitative method using a case study approach. Sources of data in this research are 30 fantasy stories of students taken according to the criteria of fantasy stories. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 3 Keruak. Data collection techniques used are questionnaires and documentation. The result of this research is that fantasy story media is one way for teachers to implement character values and identify those character values. After being identified, there are various character values found in students' fantasy stories, namely religious character values, honesty, tolerance, discipline, hard work, independent, creative, democratic, curiosity, love for the homeland, friendly/communicative, peace-loving, fond of reading. , social care, and responsibility. The most dominant or most dominant character value of all students' fantasy stories is the curiosity character value as many as 18 findings. The conclusion of this research is that in the fantasy story text of students there is a content of character values.
This research is motivated by a needs analysis of consistent teaching materials. This study aims to develop a natural science teaching material product based on Problem Based Learning (PBL), as well as to test its effectiveness through a one group sample pretest and posttest design. The data validation results by three experts include: material experts, linguists, and technology experts, as well as user responses, getting a comprehensive average score of 3.40, with an ideal standard score of 4.0. While the empirical test data through one group sample pretest and posttest design on 51 test samples, obtained an N-Gain value with an average score of 0.45 with a (medium) category. Thus, it is recommended that Problem Based Learning (PBL) natural sciences teaching materials are very feasible and effective to be used in learning activities in Elementary Schools and Islamic Elementary Schools.
The learning process in the 21 st century must be contextual and require the Higher-Order Thinking Skill (HOTS) to prepare students in their life situations. The aim of this research is to analyze the students' critical thinking skill in improving HOTS of undergraduate pharmacy students. This student's essential thinking skill including HOTS, knowledge of theoretical concepts, and skill of students in the learning process. This research was conducted towards the first-year students of pharmacy undergraduate with three major subjects, including cell biology, basic chemistry, and basic pharmaceuticals. The qualitative descriptive method with assessment, observation, and interview in collecting data was used in this research. The population sample made up of thirty-eight students. The categories of students' critical thinking are divided into a low, moderate, and high percentages. The study shows that higher-order thinking skill of students was improved when a learning process pushed in activating the student's critical thinking.
This study aims to describe how to develop image media with a contextual approach, determine the validity of image media with a contextual approach, find out the practicality of image media with a contextual approach, and determine the effectiveness of image media with a contextual approach in elementary school thematic learning. This research and development uses a 4D development model that has been simplified into 3D with the stages of define, design, and develop. The type of data used in this study uses primary data. The instruments used in this study were: observation, interviews, and questionnaires. The results of the media design validation test and the content of the image media design material were considered valid with values of 97.14%, 92.72% and 83.63%. Student responses to individual and group tests were considered very positive, as seen from the lowest student response scores of 78% and the highest 90%. The conclusion of this study is that based on the results of trials and analysis, it is known that picture media with a contextual approach to thematic learning is very effective, as seen from the achievement of students and teachers who have reached the minimum standard. This study aims to describe the role of posyandu cadres on the level of visits by the users. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative with a program evaluation approach. The results obtained from this study are that the number of visits by pregnant women, toddlers, and the elderly has increased. However, a strategy is needed to increase the interest of young women to utilize posyandu so that they can increase the number of visits by adolescents.
