The generation of international travellers is no longer considered a barrier to tourists to visit places of interest during leisure time. Travelling is about learning, knowledge, and thinking channels. However, most tourists will not travel long distances efficiently, contributing to the lack of interest in international tourist visits. This study aims to identify the motivational factors driving international tourists to travel to Penang based on travel motivation, characteristics, and sociodemographic. The three objectives prompted the investigation. First, to identify the demographic characteristics of international tourists to Penang. Second, to explain the motivation to want to 'seek knowledge and innovation' is the main thrust that drives travel generation. Third, to determine the motivation of the main attractions that can attract international tourists. A set of questionnaires was used to obtain the quantitative data. The questionnaire was distributed and a total of 370 international were in the tourist attractions around Penang. The data was obtained as analysed using the SPSS software. The study results explained that these international tourists consist of young people aged between 21-20 years. Next, there is a significant relationship between sociodemographic and tourist travel characteristics. The main push factor, 'desire to seek knowledge and innovation,' is the motivational factor that brings tourists to Penang, and the main attraction factor is the 'cultural and historical' factor that is possessed in each state.

The quality of life for the elderly is intimately related to the green open space. The use of this space will directly affect the health resilience of the elderly. The research methodology for this research comprised three stages. Stage one, to identify the health resilience from the previous studies. Content analysis was used in stage two to determine health resilience catalyst for the elderly. The final stage was to stream the influence element of health resilience for the elderly. The findings have implications for improving intervention plans designed to boost resilience and promote healthy ageing for the elderly. Motivation in outdoor recreational participation has an important position as it helps to determine why individuals engage in recreational behaviour, the way individuals do, understand the benefits of participation and serves as basic knowledge in assisting the planning process and environmental management. Each involvement is influenced by motivating factors that can generate behaviour and achievement to experience the pleasure and self-satisfaction inherent in recreation. Thus, the aim of this study was to identify motivating factors influencing outdoor recreational involvement among rural and urban communities. A set of questionnaires was used to obtain quantitative data sets and were distributed to 384 respondents who were among individuals living in rural and urban areas. The analysis revealed four broad categories of motivation using the Recreation Experience Scales (REP) 'scales', namely social interaction, physical health and fitness, rest, and interaction with the environment. Respondents rated activities with family members, relaxing the mind, enjoying a peaceful surrounding area, and improving personal health and fitness as the main motivating factors influencing outdoor recreation involvement.
Sustaining health, social involvement, reducing institutionalization, and enhancing the quality of life of the elderly are community health challenges of the 21st era. Elderly citizens may endure numerous health illnesses due to their vulnerability to many physical and mental intrusions. Quality of life in elderly people can be affected by many environmental and physical factors. The quality of life for the elderly is partially and intimately related to their usage of green open space. The usage of this space will directly affect their health and lifestyle resilience. After this, the significance of getting more understanding and feedback about service quality in urban green open spaces is necessary. This research is aimed to study the link between elderly satisfaction and service quality of the urban green open space. Hence, this research aims to examine the catalyst for health and lifestyle resilience. The participants surveyed in this study were elderly people who were living in the surrounding community and come voluntarily to the urban green open space to use and enjoy all the facilities and activities that had been provided. The outcomes from this research deliver a platform for local authorities and developers in Malaysia to understand elderly expectations and behavior and how it affects their health and lifestyle resilience. The understanding is essential for planning and designing more inclusive, comprehensive and agefriendly urban green open space or parks, which should meet the needs, demand and expectations of older adults and encourage them to engage and participate in more activity.
