Nagari Tabek Panjang is one of Nagari (local government), which has several attractions located in Kecamatan Baso, Kabupaten Agam. One of them is the Ikan Sakti Sungai Janiah attraction. This attraction lacks tourist facilities for lodging in the form of Homestay. This can be developed by utilizing local community houses and traditional houses in the tourist attraction environment. However, local people do not yet understand how to prepare and manage Homestay that meet the standards. Collaboration between the University and the community is expected to provide a solution to the Improvement of Local Community Knowledge and Skills in Managing Homestay. The purpose of community service activities was to facilitate and help the community in terms of the problem faced. The form of activities that have been carried out is providing training on Homestay management, helping to identify and analyze a proper community house into a Homestay, making a pilot Homestay, and registering a Homestay brand. Besides, training on makeup room and Homestay promotion was also carried out through the Nagari web built by Universitas Negeri Padang and Homestay brochure.
ABSTRACT This study aims to analyze the potential development of a tourist attraction in Tourism Destinations of Ikan Sakti Sungai Janiah Kecamatan Baso Kabupaten Agam. This study used qualitative and SWOT analysis. The data source is Head of Tourism, Youth and Sports, the Chief Manager of Tourism Destinations, Community Leaders, and tourists. The techniques of data collection were through interviews, observation, and documentation. Data were analyzed qualitatively including reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The results showed that the potential development of tourist attraction in this tourists destination is tracking, flying fox, fishing pond, bathhouse, camping area, playground, park, packaging art such as; Randai, dances, Debus, Talempong Pacik, Pupuik, Makan Bajamba, and Martial Arts Performances. Development strategies of a tourist attraction by optimizing the natural resources that already exist, giving training in tourism awareness to the community, building cooperation with local governments, managers and the public in the packaging of a tourist attraction, improve human resources by providing training and looking for investors in the development of tourist attraction, and increasing community involvement in the management of a tourist attraction.
Pengelolaan objek wisata tentunya akan berdampak baik jika diimbangi dengan perkembangan dan pemanfaatan teknologi informasi yang nantinya dapat meningkan ekonomi masyarakat sekitar objek wisata. Pengelolaan Objek Wisata Ikan Sakti Sungai Janiah Kanagarian Tabek Panjang Kecamatan Baso ditemukan berbagai permasalah yaitu: Belum terkelola dengan baik sistem tiket masuk, belum terekspose potensi-potensi wisata yang dimiliki pada media berbasis teknologi informasi sehingga belum dikenal secara luas, dan masih kurangnya kemampuan sumber daya manusia dalam mengelola objek. Menindaklanjuti permasalahan diatas, tim pengabdian masyarakat telah melakukan pelatihan pengelolaan kepada kelompok sadar wisata Sungai Janiah. Adapun ruang lingkup materi meliputi: Pemanfaatan Teknologi Informasi Dan Sistem Informasi Bagi Umkm, Pelatihan Penyusunan Program dan Pembuatan Web Nagari Tabek Panjang dan Pemanfaatan Teknologi Informasi bagi Pengembangan Objek Wisata. Dalam pelatihan kelompok sadar wisata diberikan seperangkat komputer sebagai fasilitas dalam mengelola web nantinya. Berdasarkan hasil pelatihan dapat disimpulkan bahwa, kelompok sadar wisata Sungai Janiah memperoleh pengetahuan dan keterampilan dalam mengelola objek wisata Ikan Sakti berbasis penerapan teknologi informasi, sehingga dapat meningkatkan kunjungan wisatawan ke objek wisata ikan sakti sungai janiah
This paper highlights the key stakeholders' influences on the local community's involvement in CBT development. Further, this paper explores the potential of Penta-Helix multi-stakeholders collaboration as a viable CBT development strategy. Through systematic content analysis, this paper explores the link between CBT, the Penta-Helix development model and how it intertwines with local community wisdom empowerment. This paper identifies three gaps in community-based tourism: i) Shortcomings from the top-down tourism development planning system, ii) the need for more collaboration between the community and the tourism stakeholders and iii) the lack of community local wisdom empowerment. This paper reflects on the nexus between tourism and local community wisdom inclusiveness, particularly in the CBT sustainability realm. This paper highlighted how the Penta-Helix cooperation could be achieved through optimising the community's local wisdom role through collaborative actions by the academics, business, government, and media as tourism core stakeholders.
