Mangrove dan kehidupan Suku Akit memiliki relasi yang erat sebagai sumber penghidupan. Namun, sejak dua dekade terakhir ketersediaan mangrove berkurang akibat aktivitas manusia dan faktor alam sehingga menyebabkan terjadinya abrasi. Tulisan ini menjelaskan praktik pelestarian dan orientasi nilai Suku Akit pada hutan mangrove. Kami menggunakan kualitatif melakukan wawancara dan observasi serta menganalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa sampai saat ini Suku Akit masih memanfaatkan mangrove untuk kehidupan mereka, misalnya dalam bentuk kayu bakar, cerocok atau kayu fondasi rumah, pancang, maupun arang. Tetapi, pemanfaatan mangrove ini tidak dilakukan dalam jumlah yang besar, hal ini disebabkan karena adanya himbauan untuk mengurangi penebangan mangrove sebagai upaya mencegah abrasi. Beberapa orang mengikuti anjuran tersebut bahkan mereka sudah mulai bergerak mencari sumber penghidupan lain selain dari mangrove. Sebagian yang lain masih bekerja pada industri mangrove baik sebagai pelaku utama maupun pekerja. Temuan ini memberikan penekanan bahwa alternatif sumber penghidupan berkelanjutan selain bergantung pada mangrove sangat diperukan untuk kehidupan Suku Akit. Orientasi nilai mereka terhadap mangrove memiliki keterkaitan yang erat pada kondisi kehidupan mereka, sehingga diperlukan pemahaman serta alternatif pekerjaan lain agar tidak lagi memanfaatkan mangrove meskipun dalam jumlah yang kecil.
The Zamrud Area is designated as a National Park through the Decree of the Minister of Environment and Forestry No. 350/ Menlhk/Setjen/PLA.2/5/2016 Year 2016. Within this area there are two lakes namely Pulau Besar Lake and Bawah Lake and have a diversity of flora and fauna. In the area of the Zamrud National Park, there are fishing communities who have been fishing for generations since the 70s, “mandah” and living in the area, and are involved in guarding and protecting the area from the threat of illegal logging and protected bird catching. The research approach used is qualitative. Research informants were taken based on criteria, namely to obtain a complete picture of the actions of traditional fishermen in securing and protecting the Zamrud National Park. The results showed that the forms of security measures taken by traditional fishermen in preserving the Zamrud National Park were: 1) Conducting river patrols, 2) Disseminating regional regulations, 3) Reprimanding visitors who violated the law, 4) Reporting violations and special incidents to the Forest Police. and BKSDA Riau. In an effort to maintain and maintain the sustainability of fishing activities in the Pulau Besar and Bawah Lake areas, traditional fishermen do: 1) Limit the use of fishing gear, 2) Limit the number and types of catches (not catching fish that are prohibited), 3) Maintain Lakeside Vegetation, 4) Not clearing land and taking forest products in the form of wood, and 5) Cooperating with various parties such as the local government.
The LibuRUN group is a running community that is highly famous in Riau, notably in the city of Pekanbaru. The objective of founding the LibuRUN running community is to push for the residents of Pekanbaru city to live a healthy life. This research intends to examine the consumptive and hedonic behavior of members of the LibuRUN running community. The research approach utilized in this study is descriptive qualitative, the source of the data comprises of primary and secondary data. The findings indicated that consumer behavior among LibuRUN members was impacted by their surroundings and their personal wishes, and LibuRUN hedonic lifestyle was conduct that was regarded normal and hedonic behavior was also typical. Behavior arises because of behaviors that exist among the community and people themselves.
