CHD is ranked number one as a cause of death in non-communicable diseases in Indonesia. The increasing number of people with CHD not only having an impact on mortality rates also an increase in health care needs. Adequate knowledge of the disease contributes to an accurate understanding of the disease and improves adherence to a healthy lifestyle to prevent CHD. This study aims to analyze the awareness and level of community knowledge in preventing CHD. This research was a quantitative research with descriptive analytic method. Awareness and level of knowledge about CHD were evaluated using The Heart Disease Fact Questionnaire. In this study, a total of 60 respondents were obtained through a Cluster Random Sampling in the population of people who have not been diagnosed with CHD in the Village of Timpag, Tabanan Regency, Bali. The main results of this study indicated that awareness and knowledge of the highest risk factors are smoking (89.1%) followed by a factor of high cholesterol (86.6%) and high LDL cholesterol levels (86.3%) and uncontrolled blood pressure (85.9%) and overweight (82.4%). Conversely, risk factors for diabetes (50.7%), HDL cholesterol levels (52.1%), and physical activity (53.5%) received less attention. This study found that the majority of respondents were aware of and have adequate knowledge about CHD risk factors. The results of this study can add information in the development of health promotion materials or policies as an effort to prevent CHD. Further research with a larger population needs to be done to increase public awareness of CHD.

Hipertensi merupakan penyakit kronis dan sering disebut silent killer karena tidak disertai dengan gejala yang khas sebelum memasuki fase komplikasi. Hipertensi dapat dibedakan menjadi dua yaitu hipertensi primer dan hipertensi sekunder. Tingginya jumlah pasien hipertensi saat ini memerlukan komitmen dalam upaya penatalaksanaan penyakit hipertensi berkelanjutan. Salah satunya dengan membangun self care behaviour yang adekuat pada pasien. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi gambaran self care behaviour pada pasien hipertensi di Puskesmas wilayah Kota Denpasar. Responden dalam penelitian ini adalah 115 pasien hipertensi. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner dengan teknik consecutive sampling. Analisis data univariat digambarkan dalam bentuk distribusi frekuensi dan tendensi sentral. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata skor self care behaviour adalah 20,30, dengan skor tertinggi adalah 28, dan skor terendah adalah 10.

Exclusive breastfeeding is very important for baby's growth and development. In 2015, the coverage of exclusive breastfeeding in Bali Province still has not reached the expected target number. The motivation of a mother is crucial in giving exclusive breastfeeding for six months. One of the factors that influence the motivation of exclusive breastfeeding is the mother’s employment status. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the employment status of mothers with the motivation of exclusive breastfeeding. This study was a correlative study with a cross-sectional approach. The sample consisted of 90 nursing mothers who had babies aged 0-6 months obtained by purposive sampling technique. Data collection was used a questionnaire. The chi-square test showed p value 0,003 (p < 0.05) which means that there was a relationship between the employment status of mothers with the motivation of exclusive breastfeeding. The results of this study is expected to be a picture for health workers to provide health promotion about the importance of exclusive breastfeeding and to improve community empowerment in an effort to increase the coverage of exclusive breastfeeding. Mothers is expected to actively seek information about exclusive breastfeeding so that the mother's motivation in giving exclusive breastfeeding increases.
