Language is a very important thing. Through language, children can express their thoughts and knowledge when interacting with other people. This study aims to analyze the effect of partially and simultaneously the application of the storytelling method and picture word card media on the language skills of children aged 5-6 years. Applying the experimental method of one group pretest-posttest design. Applying the purposive sampling method, 15 children in group B were found as data sources. Data were collected using structured observation techniques, document analysis, and applying multiple regression analysis to test hypotheses. The results of the study found that there was a partial and simultaneous positive effect on the application of the storytelling method and picture word card media on the language skills of children aged 5-6 years. So it can be concluded that there is a positive effect of applying the storytelling method and picture word card media on the language skills of children aged 5-6 years. The implication of this research is that PAUD educators can apply storytelling methods and picture word cards in learning to improve the language skills of children aged 5-6 years.
Pendidikan anak usia dini dilakukan untuk pembinaan kepada anak dengan memberikan rangsangan pendidikan sejak awal untuk membantu memaksimalkan pertumbuhan dan pekembangan anak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada atau tidak adanya pengaruh permainan puzzle terhadap perkembangan kognitif, motorik halus dan sosial emosional pada anak kelompok B di TK Aisyiyah Labuhan Haji Kecamatan Labuhan Haji, sampel yang digunakan berjumlah 34 anak. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian yaitu eksperimen dengan bentuk group pretest–posttest design. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini yaitu menggunakan uji t-test dengan taraf signifikan 5%. Adapun hasil nilai Sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0,000 < 0,05. Berdasarkan hasil uji t-test menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan data pre-test dan post-test terhadap perkembagan kognitif, motorik halus dan sosial emosional. Nilai t pada perkembagan kognitif thitung sebesar 32,171, motorik halus thitung sebesar 19,933 dan sosial emosional thitung sebesar 20,613 sedangkan ttabel dengan nilai df 33 yaitu sebesar 2,042. Dengan demikian nilai thitung > ttabel maka dapat disimpulkan ada pengaruh permainan puzzle terhadap perkembangan kognitif, motorik halus dan sosial emosional pada anak kelompok B di TK Aisyiyah Labuhan Haji.
