This study aims to develop valid, practical and effective mathematics learning tools based on local wisdom of Bolaang Mongondow using PMRI approach. The method used is the development research method which includes the stages of analysis, design and evaluation. Data collection techniques in the form of documentation, walk through, tests, observations, and interviews. Data analysis techniques used qualitative descriptive data analysis. The results obtained are in the form of a valid and practical learning device prototype. Validity is fulfilled qualitatively. Whereas, the practicality shown by experts stated that the developed prototype could be applied to elementary students. Apart from that according to the one to one and small group stages, students can use learning tools well. From observations of student learning activities, the results of student answers, it can be seen that the prototype developed has a potential effect to improve students’ mathematical abilities.
This study aimed to improve students' literacy skills in carrying out distance learning and examine the effect of problem-based learning in reverse online classes on statistical literacy skills in distance learning. This research was conducted during the COVID-19 pandemic at Prisma University and Manado State University with 198 students taking statistical methods courses. A quantitative approach to quasi-experimental research was used. The instruments used are written tests and video-based projects with relevant entrepreneurship questions. Data was collected through pre- and post-tests, then analyzed using a two-way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and an independent sample t-test. The results showed that problem-based learning in reverse online classes positively affected statistical literacy skills in distance learning. In addition, positive responses from students working on statistical projects in entrepreneurship were found. This may be observed from the perceptions of students who show high satisfaction with the assignment in the field of entrepreneurship in this study. Furthermore, the results of this study confirm that student involvement is a critical element in implementing distance learning.
Penelitian ini berdasarkan pada masalah yang ditemukan ketika peneliti mengadakan observasi di SMP Negeri 3 Tondano dimana kemampuan peserta didik mengerjakan soal-soal matematika berkategori HOTS masih kurang. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran Discovery Learning terhadap kemampuan peserta didik mengerjakan soal-soal matematika berkategori HOTS. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode quasi experimental, dengan desain penelitian The Nonequivalent Post-test Only Control Group Design. Sampel diambil dari 2 kelas yang normal dan homogen yaitu kelas VIII A sebagai kelas eksperimen dan VIII B sebagai kelas kontrol dengan jumlah berturut-turut 26 dan 26 siswa. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis dengan menggunakan statistik uji-t dan memperlihatkan bahwa nilai = 7.180 > =1.684 dengan taraf nyata α = 0.05 ini berarti tolak dan terima . Sehingga, penggunaan model Discovery Learning dapat meningkatkan kemampuan siswa mengerjakan soal-soal matematika berkategori HOTS.
Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi masalah yang ditemukan saat observasi di SMA Negeri 3 Tondano terkadang kurang menerapkan model pembelajaran yang terbaru yang memacu siswa untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir mereka. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran Project based leaning terhadap kemampuan Higher Order Thingking Skills (HOTS) siswa. Metode penelitian ini adalah eksperimen, dengan desain penelitian Pretest Posttest Experiment Group Design. Sampel diambil dari 2 kelas yang normal dan homogen yaitu kelas X IPA 2 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan XI IPA 3 sebagai kelas kontrol dengan jumlah berturut-turut 35 dan 36 siswa. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji-t dan menunjukan bahwa nilai = 2.067166357 > =1.66724 dengan taraf nyata α = 0.05 ini berarti tolak dan terima. Dengan demikian, penggunaan model pembelajaran Project Based Leaning berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan Higher Order Thingking Skills (HOTS) peserta didik.
