This study aims at determining the effect of the use of picture and picture model on Indonesian writing skills �narration essay in the class IV A and IV B Elemetary School 1 Purwawinangun. The samples in this study are 49 students. The method used in this research is quasi experiment. Data collection techniques used in this study is an essay written test. Data analysis technique in this research is normality test, homogeneity test, t-test, and n-gain test. The result of pretest mean score of experimental and control class are 44.2 and 43.6. The result of posttest mean score of experimental and control class are 82.8 and 72.4. The result of the hypothesis test obtained the value of based on the t-test results obtained 0,000 significance level, where 0.000 <0.05, it means that Ha accepted based on the acceptance criteria hypothesis and Ho rejected, that there is an effect of using Picture and Picture type cooperative model on narration essay writing skill of students. The result of the n-gain test is 0.7 indicating that there is an increase in the experimental group using the picture and picture type cooperative model with high criteria. So it can be concluded that there is influence of using of picture and picture type in cooperative model of students narration essay writing skills.Keywords:�cooperative model; picture; writing skill; narration essay.
This study aims to analyze the meaning of associations in the novel Negeri 5 Menara as alternative teaching materials semantic courses on students PBSI FKIP UNIKU. This research method is descriptive qualitative, that describes the meaning of association in Novel Negeri 5 Menara and its conformity with the principle of preparation of teaching materials. After examined and analyzed and conducted the discussion obtained the following conclusions. 1) Text in Novel Negeri 5 Menara of A. Fuadi's work has the meaning of association consisting of the meaning of reflection, affection, connotation, collocation, and stylistic. Among these meanings, the most dominant is the meaning of affection and reflection, and 2) The text in the Novel Negeri 5 Menara can be an alternative teaching material in the Semantic Subject course on the meaning of the association because it meets the requirements of relevance, consistency, adequacy, conformity with the language development of learners, and in accordance with the character's values. Di antara makna tersebut, yang paling dominan adalah makna afeksi dan refleksi, dan 2) Teks dalam Novel Negeri 5 Menara dapat dijadikan alternatif bahan ajar dalam Mata Kuliah Semantik khususya materi tentang makna asosiasi karena memenuhi syarat relevansi, konsistensi, kecukupan, ksesuaian dengan perkembangan bahasa pserta didik, serta sesuai dengan nilai-nilai karakter. Penelitian ini berjudul Ketidakefektifan Kalimat pada Surat Dinas Tingkat Desa Kecamatan Darma Kabupaten Kuningan dan Ancangan Pola Pembinaannya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui ketidakefektifan kalimat pada surat dinas yang dibuat oleh staf administrasi Desa yang berada di lingkungan Kecamatan Darma serta menghasilkan ancangan pola pembinaan bahasa Indonesia berdasarkan analisis kesalahan kalimat pada surat dinas. Pendekatan dan metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif, dengan metode deksriptif kualitatif. Dari penelitian ini� sudah terkumpul 19 surat surat dinas� dan hasil analisisnya adalah sebagai berikut. (1) Ketidakefektifan kalimat pada surat dinas pemerintahan Desa Kecamatan Darma Kabupaten Kuningan banyak surat yang menggunakan kalimat yang tidak efektif. Misalnya, kalimatnya terlalu panjang, banyak� menggunakan kata-kata yang tidak diperlukan, dan ketidakjelasan subjek dan predikat, (2) Berdasarkan analisis ketidaefektifan kalimat pada� surat dinas, maka dibentuk ancangan pola pembinaan bahasa dalam bentuk rancangan pelaksaan pembinaan bahasa. Materi yang akan dibinakan adalah pilihan kata, penggunaan kalimat, dan sistematika. Adapaun metodenya adalah dengan praktik langsung yang dikemas dalam bentuk workshop. The purpose of this study is to describe the needs of literacy teaching materials in elementary schools. The schools in question is the elementary school in Kuningan District. The research method used is descriptive qualitative using data collection techniques such as interviews ,. Interview given to teachers and students are drawn from 30 elementary schools in the district of Kuningan. From the interviews, it was concluded that for the literacy program in elementary schools in Kuningan District needed teaching materials which; 1) in accordance with classroom learning material; 2) according to the level of student understanding; 3) contains the character values / habituation of behavior; 4) contains knowledge or insight; 5) contains self-development; 5) in the form of stories or fiction; 6) contains instructions so students easily understand and know what they have to do; 7) stimulates critical thinking; 8) contains elements of Sundanese / Kuningan culture and language; and 10) interesting. Therefore, the recommendation of the author is that experts or researchers in the field of literacy or related parties can develop teaching materials that are appropriate to this need.
Teaching materials are a factor that can determine success in achieving a particular skill. Therefore, in improving students' literacy skills, teaching materials are needed as support. So, a study was conducted under the title "The Effectiveness of Local Wisdom-Based Literacy Teaching Materials for Elementary School Students" "This study aims to examine local wisdom-based literacy teaching materials for elementary school students. The objective is based on the formulation of the problem "how is the effectiveness of local wisdom-based literacy teaching materials for elementary school students?. This study uses a quasi-experimental method using a pre-experimental design with one control group pretest-posttest design. The object of this research is elementary school students in grade 5 at SDN 1 Ciloa Kuningan Regency using a research instrument as a test. The experiment was carried out for three days by conducting a pretest, treatment, and post-test. Based on the results of data analysis, it was found that literacy teaching materials based on local wisdom effectively improved the literacy skills of 5th graders at SDN 1 Ciloa. This is evident from the differences in students' literacy skills before and after being given literacy teaching materials based on local wisdom. In the Paired Samples Statistics table, the score of sig. (2-tailed) is 0.001 < 0.05, then H0 is rejected, and Ha is accepted. So that it can be concluded that there is an average difference between the pretest and post-test learning outcomes.
