This paper presents the results of research carried out in companies engaged in the production and distribution of bakery products, which relate to the advantages, disadvantages and costs of implementing the system for quality and food safety management. In focused companies, a quality and food safety management system has been applied, which, after development, has been certified by independent certification bodies. The methodology for collecting data using the Google questionnaire that was created and through which the data from the surveyed companies was obtained. The highest initial costs during the introduction of quality and food safety management systems relate to the elucidation of infrastructure deficiencies (66.6% of surveyed enterprises) and consulting services (33.3% of surveyed enterprises). A key advantage of establishing a company's quality management system is to improve document management and product quality improvement (4.55). The applied quality management systems and food safety systems offer companies numerous advantages, savings in business and represent a model by which applications and other companies can improve their own performance. Determining system efficiency methodologically using google questionnaires is a very simple and useful tool that can be used for similar research with minimal knowledge of online programming techniques.
Information technologies (IT) have become an important part of modern peoples activities. Many activities in food production processes are supported by different types of IT. The aim of this paper is to determine share of companies in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), Serbia (SRB), North Macedonia (MKD) and Montenegro (MNE) that use some form of IT in their operations. Research was conducted in companies from the food sector in four countries in the Balkans. The research included 42 companies from BiH, 30 companies from Serbia, 14 companies from MKD and 6 companies from MNE. A special questionnaire was designed for the purposes of this research. The distribution of the questionnaire was done by e-mail, with a digital link for the users according to the form of the survey questionnaire that they should fill out (Microsoft Forms). The obtained results were statistically processed using IBM SPSS Statistics 26.During the research, authors determined areas in which companies already use IT, their plans related to the development of IT in the coming period and possibly for integration of existing and new IT solutions into a single information system. In their answers, the companies declared about the business areas in which they most often apply IT. Companies have developed and use several e-databases (the share of companies from each country is shown in relation to the number of companies that submitted complete survey questionnaires in the order of BiH, SRB, MKD and MNE): e-database of employees (88.1%); 96.7%; 100% and 100%, respectable), supplier base (73.8%; 100%; 100% and 83.3%, respectable), e-customer base (76.2%; 96.7%; 100% and 100%, respectable), e-base of resources for work (35.7%; 60.0%; 42.9% and 50.0%, respectable), e-base of reports on performed laboratory analyzes (35 .7%; 43.3%, 50.0% and 50.0%, respectively) etc. In the development of IT solutions, companies use different programming languages, mostly JAVA (59.3% of all companies surveyed) and C++ (37.4% of the total number of companies surveyed). The research showed that companies in the food sector in 4 Balkan countries use different forms of IT and that they have clear plans for their development and application in their business. It encourages the view that most companies are working on development of an integrated information system.
There has been given preview of published scientific works, in which the influence of COVID-19 pandemic and consequencies in production sector, including industry are analyzed. Pandemic has limited the flow of people and merchandise and in this way endangered supply of raw materials for processing industry as well as delivery of final products for clients. Searching for solution on how to get out of crisis, production sector has made changes in organization of work and attitude towards partners, introducing new flexible technologies, reinforcing innovations, etc. Application of digital technologies made it possible to reduce consequencies of negative influence of pandemic and faster way out of crisis. Industry 4.0 enables flexibility, visibility, traceability and reliability of raw material supply and industrial products.
Today, more than ever, it is necessary to standardize the electronic teaching content, to set quality standards and to separate quality from bad content. Higher education institutions must take an active role in the development and use of information technologies in teaching processes. The central research topic in this paper is the empirical research, where the collected primary quantitative data is stored in the corresponding database and further analyzed. This paper examines the effects and inductive character of the multimedia concept of electronic education in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The research was conducted on students of the higher years of studies at various higher education institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The knowledge, experience and skills that students acquire are the most merits and relevant results of the e-learning implementation. In order to achieve good results, it is necessary to create an adequate online learning environment and, if possible, to personalize it. Unfortunately, the non-standardization of multimedia content and of the process of delivering electronic content reduces the effects of such teaching. This problem is expressed everywhere in the World, and so with us. Higher education institutions must accept and even design new e-learning models in order to meet the needs of users for this type of teaching and learning. The target population in this research were students of higher years of study at various higher education institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina, where electronic education was represented. An additional requirement was that universities have implemented Distance Learning systems providing free and unrestricted access to the target population. The idea was that the students of the first year of graduate studies do not enter the research, as they hypothetically do not yet have established a critical opinion about the field of interest of this research, which would probably adversely affect the quality of the obtained results. The empirical research was conducted through a questionnaire (period: October 2016 - January 2017), where primary quantitative data were collected, compiled into an appropriate database and further analysed.
The Pan-European University Apeiron has in academic 2010–2011 year, along with the classical way of teaching, introduced in its work the distance learning course known as e-learning. The materials prepared for students who regularly attended the classes were the same as for distance learning students, with adapted lectures and other forms of interaction. Since the pandemic of the COVID-19 has arisen all over the world, including Bosnia and Herzegovina, the classical form of teaching has been transformed into distance learning. The experience of the university staff in the distance learning providing now has been applied to all university students. The authors of this paper analyzed the effectiveness of the distance learning system in terms of emergencies and the manner and speed of adjustment of students, who have previously studied in the classical way, on methods of distance learning. The most appropriate indicators for measuring the degree of adaptation of distance learning are selected. Data for two semesters in 1 school year were monitored throughout the university. In the winter semester, classical classes were conducted, and in the summer semester, classes followed the distance learning model. The interesting indicators are monitored: the number of students’ first access to the system by subject, the time spent monitoring the online materials, and other types of possible student-professor and student-student interaction.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
