This article reports on the finding of a study which aims to analyze the pragmatic content of nine school textbooks intended for use in Indonesian secondary schools. Specifically, the article examines how greetings are linguistically presented in the textbooks and whether adequate metapragmatic information is provided to facilitate the learning of the greetings. The analysis shows that less various types of greetings are presented in the textbook and meta-pragmatic information is limited. It is suggested for teacher and textbooks writers to reconsider the types of instructional materials that can most effectively prepare learners for communication in a wider and more diverse world.
This article discusses Lampung language in the case of the challenge and the solution of its effort. There are at least five major problems in the existence of the Lampung language, namely: 1) a smaller population compared to migrants; 2) lack of pride of Lampung tribe people using Lampung language; 3) the use of Lampung language is limited to certain contexts, 4) the shift in the use of mother tongue in the family, 5) the trap of teaching the Lampung language on the teaching of script and not communication in the language of Lampung. The government has employed some ways to solve the problems. However, practical solutions can also be done by various parties, such as the family, school, and community. Keyword: Lampung language, Lampung tribe people, problems, challenge, solution. AbstrakArtikel ini mendiskusikan tentang Bahasa Lampung dalam hal tantangan dan solusi praktis pemertahanannya. Setidaknya ada lima masalah utama dalam eksistensi bahasa Lampung, yaitu: 1) jumlah penduduk yang lebih kecil dibandingkan dengan pendatang; 2) kurangnya kebanggaan orang suku Lampung menggunakan bahasa Lampung; 3) penggunaan bahasa Lampung terbatas pada konteks tertentu; 4) pergeseran penggunaan bahasa ibu dalam keluarga; 5) terjebaknya pengajaran bahasa lampung pada pengajaran aksara dan bukan komunikasi dalam bahasa Lampung. Pemerintah telah mengupayakan beberapa langkah untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut. Selain itu solusi praktis juga yang dapat dilakukan oleh berbagai pihak di lingkungan keluarga, sekolah, dan masyarakat. Filed school (FS) -in which it is the latest agricultural extension model -have succeeded to develop farmers' awareness and ability to make a proper decision in adoption of innovation as a problem solving. Hypothetically, it would be a suitable way to develop entrepreneurship for farmer and small business holder. The paper aims to identify the participation level of paddyseed-grower as well as small business trainee and its relationship to the entrepreneurship. The participation consists of idea, time, manpower, and fund contribution; while the entrepreneurship is initiative & risk taking ability and management skill performing. Based on Likert scale, farmer got high manpower and time dedication; and risk taking ability. The X 2 test revealed that significant effect of participation toward entrepreneurship is merely for experienced and more educated participant and wider farming land owner. Therefore, the adoption of FS needs specific design for certain participants.
Layanan bimbingan klasikal adalah salah satu pelayanan dasar konselor untuk melakukan kontak langsung dengan peserta didik dikelas. Pada bimbingan klasikal ini menggunakan berbagai macam alat bantu seperti media cetak. Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah “Penggunaan Media IT (Informasi dan Teknologi) Dalam Meningkatkan Antusias Siswa Untuk Mengikuti Bimbingan Klasikal. Hasil akhir penelitian ini yaitu peneliti sudah menemukan hasil yang positif. Hal ini terbukti dengan adanya tanggapan dan antusias siswa terhadap metode yang di aplikasikan dalam mengikuti langkah-langkah dalam kegiatan layanan bimbingan klasikal. Hasil siklus kedua, pada siswa kelas tepat sasaran. Hal ini di tunjukkan adanya peningkatan antusias siswa dalam mengikuti layanan bimbingan konseling pada siklus 2 ini pun terbilang cukup tinggi. Maka hasil akhir penelitian ini, yaitu Penggunaan media IT (Informasi dan Teknologi) dalam Layanan bimbingan klasikal Untuk Meningkatkan Antusias siswa dalam mengikuti layanan bimbingan klasikal Kelas X KPU telah tepat sasaran dan berhasil dilaksanakan.
