In recent years, mobile phone has evolved from essentially an interpersonal communication device to a multimedia machine known as "smartphone". The usage rate of smartphone in Malaysia is still slow comparing to her neighbour, Singapore. Among all states in Malaysia, Perlis was reported to be the lowest smartphone users. This study attempts to investigate the antecedents that shaped the purchase intention of smartphone among adolescents in Perlis. A total of 379 close-ended questionnaires were distributed among young adults aged 19-26 who lives in Perlis. The questionnaires contained measures of relative advantages, price, social influence, compatibility as well as demographic information. The data were analyzed using correlation and multiple regressions. The study suggests that it is vital for the organization to understand their target market's preferences before embarking on their marketing activities.
The Malaysia Ministry of Higher Education introduced entrepreneurship mandatory subjects to all students at the nation public universities. Universities and colleges have offered entrepreneurship programs or courses at the graduate and undergraduate levels. Even though most HLI students were taught with entrepreneur courses or programs, the entrepreneurial activities among the students are still ambiguous. This paper main objective is to investigate the relationship between role model, family background, and entrepreneurship curriculum and content with the entrepreneurial inclination. The data were collected from the Faculty of Business and Management student in Higher Learning Institution. The study indicates that all variables were proven important in explaining the inclination towards entrepreneurship. The findings will facilitate the university in developing curriculum and initiatives that align with students' goals in defining their future endeavors as entrepreneurs.
High performance organization creates a conducive working environment that attempts to keep the employees happy and productive. It is one of the important things that need to be considered by any organization. Previously, there are so many studies regarding antecedents of Human Resources Management (HRM) practices towards Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB), but lack of Organizational Citizenship Behavior for Environment (OCBE). Due to this circumstance, this study aims to identify the influences of Human Resources Management (HRM) practices towards Organizational Citizenship Behavior for Environment (OCBE) at workplace by responding to the global warming issues. The integration of Training and Development, Compensation and Benefits, and Performance Appraisal are used in predicting the effect towards OCBE in this study. A total of 130 set of questionnaires have been distributed among employees in Kuala Lumpur using convenience sampling technique. The finding confirm that organization practices should incorporate environmental-friendly work culture among their employees in order to encounter with the environmental issues.
