Indonesian nation face some important and crucial problem about poverty. One of which's to overcome the amount of unemployment. It's still relatively high plus the total labor force continues to grow each year. One thing is needed that number of entrepreneurs should be raised. Because of it as one of the indicators of economic progress. A number of obstacles facing, such as: social and economic constraints and market structure have not yet accomodate for conducting this. However, with improving education policy, curriculum and learning systems (students and lecturers relations) that can foster the emergence of a stimulus for innovation and creativity is convinced that these obstacles can be overcome.
The real meaning of empowerment of rural communities can be understood as a process of increasing the capacity utilization of the autonomy of every individuals for utilizing local resources in a productive and creative way in the rural community. Every community development efforts based on local resources need to be oriented to favor the interests of poverty alleviation in various typologies of rural areas. The empowerment of rural communities which are pro poor and sustainable requires systematic planning in order to avoid the effects of culture shock. This study aims to formulate management strategiesof community empowerment based on local resources. This study showed that strategic management empowerment of rural communities have strong links with policy makers in regulating the ability of the balance principle of natural resources and human resources synergistically. Culture shock can be reduced in a planned manner through social adjustments between the problems and the real needs of the poor in the rural development program goals and objectives. Evaluation and monitoring objective and are required to determine the achievement of goals and predict the chances of a culture shock as early as possible. The partnership and mutual trust among various parties have contributed to the empowerment pro-poor. Beside economic improvement, it can be showed that social cohesiveness can be better and culture shocks are able to be reduced. Pro poor development activities based on local resources must be integrated and minimizing cultural schock. Nevertheless, the implementation of strategic management require systematic steps to all aspects and accommodate social, cultural, political and technological interests.
<p>This study aims to find out the manifestation of culture in English electronic textbook for Senior highschool by Puskurbuk. The study utilizes a content analysis as a research method to explore the cultural element in an Electronic English Textbook for Senior high school in Indonesia. The study probes around cultural element or cultural manifestation in the textbook, in which the main points-cultural features in cultural element comprises of eight different manifestations; cultural identity and social group, social interaction, belief and behaviour, social and political institutions, socialization and life cycle, national history, national geography and national identityThe result of this study revealedcultural manifestations in the textbook consisting of 28% stereotype and national identity, which made up to almost one-third of the whole cultural occurrences. The remaining sequential amount of the cultural occurrences in the textbook are cultural identity and social group with 17%. Social and political institution, along with national geography, gained 13% of cultural manifestations. Social interaction (9%), belief and behaviour (7%), socialization and life cycle (7%) and the 6% occurrence of national history were the least elements found in the data observed. This study is beneficial to give the insight of cultural manifestation portrayal in the textbook.<strong></strong></p><p><strong>Keywords: </strong>English Textbook, <strong></strong>Culture, Cultural element</p>
AbstrakCerita relief Jataka pada Candi Borobudur memiliki pesan moral yang penting untuk disampaikan sebagai sarana pendidikan budi pekerti, namun perbedaan zaman menjadi masalah yang menyebabkan cerita relief Jataka tidak dapat dibaca sehingga sulit dimengerti oleh para remaja 16-18 tahun sehingga perlu dilakukan adaptasi cerita ke media yang dapat dimengerti dengan remaja masa kini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami dan menyampaikan pesan cerita relief Jataka dengan Bahasa Rupa dan merancang kembali cerita tersebut ke dalam animasi 3600 agar mudah dipahami remaja 16-18 tahun. Metode penelitian ini berupa kualitatif studi kasus relief Jataka Candi Borobudur yang dimulai dengan pengambilan data melalui observasi, studi literatur, wawancara dan kuisioner. Dari hasil pengumpulan data kisah burung pelatuk dan seekor singa pada relief yang akan adaptasikan, hasil kuisioner menunjukan bahwa remaja usia 16-18 tahun aktif mengakses media sosial youtube melalui smartphone selama kurang dari sejam setiap harinya, selain itu mereka juga tertarik dengan animasi 3D dan gaya visual lowpoly. Hasil ini akan digunakan sebagai acuan dalam perancagan animasi 360o. Hasil pengujian animasi 3600 pada situs youtube menunjukkan bahwa media ini dapat membantu menyampaikan cerita relief Jataka dan pesan yang terkandung di dalamnya kepada remaja usia 16-18 tahun. Kata Kunci: animasi 3600, candi Borobudur, relief jataka, remaja AbstractThe Jataka relief story at Borobudur Temple has an important moral message to convey as a means of character education, but the age difference is a problem that causes Jataka relief stories to be unreadable so that it is difficult for teenagers 16-18 years to understand so that stories need to be adapted to the media understandable with today's teenagers. This study aims to understand and convey the message of Jataka relief stories with Bahasa Rupa and redesign the story into 3600 animation to be easily understood by adolescents 16-18 years old. This research uses a qualitative case study of Jataka Borobudur temple relief`s which begins with data collection through observation, literature study, interviews and questionnaires. The results relief story of woodpecker and a lion that will be adapted, the results from questionnaires show that teens aged 16-18 years actively access youtube social media via smartphones for less than an hour each day, besides they are also interested in 3D animation and lowpoly visual style. These results will be used as a reference in the 3600 animation modeling. The results show that animation 3600 can help convey Jataka relief stories and messages contained therein to adolescents aged 16-18 years.
