Students need to learn the problem-solving skill with which students can become a problem solver on a daily basis in their environment. Year-seven students have been in their formal phase of physical age; however, many of the students may mentally be still in the particular stage. Thus, the latter students are in the period of transition between solid phase to abstract. Mathematical comics media is one of the media that may able to bridge the transition from particular stage to abstract because the learning of mathematics becomes meaningful when it is adjusted with, the characteristic of the cognitive development of the students. One of the supporting aspects of knowledge is the use of the instructional media being applied. Comics media can allegedly improve problem-solving skills of year-seven students.
This study aims to analyze the learning process of introverted students on algebraic operating materials and determine the results of treatment with Problem Based Learning on students' mathematical reasoning abilities. This type of research is an experiment with a single subject or Single Subject Research. The design used is A-B. Data collection techniques through observation, tests, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis uses analysis in conditions and analysis between conditions. Based on the results of the study, the introverted student learning process on algebraic operating material is the subject preparing needs, making designs, identifying, finding and delivering solutions, and conducting evaluations. While the treatment results in the form of Problem Based Learning showed a significant increase, the mean level of test results increased from 48.75 to 92.75 and the percentage of overlap was 0. It was concluded that the use of PBL models had a positive influence on the mathematical reasoning ability of introverted students. It is hoped that the Problem Based Learning model can be used as an alternative learning model to improve the mathematical reasoning ability of introverted students and learning when at school.
This study aims to determine the role of teachers, obstacles and solutions in online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. This type of research is qualitative research with a fixed case study design. Data were collected through interviews, observation and documentation techniques. Data were analysed using interactive model analysis. The results showed that the role of elementary school teachers in online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic was compiling learning materials taken from the internet (Google), preparing a laptop device with an internet network connection using WhatsApp media, using video media in delivering material who need a concrete example, assess online learning by not burdening students, teachers participate in various online learning training both and independent learning, involving parents of students to be able to provide learning assistance for their children. Constraints faced by elementary school teachers in online learning include: difficulty getting an internet signal, lack of internet quota, students cannot access WhatsApp because not all students or parents have cellphones, parents do not assist their children, students do not understand the material given. Solutions to overcome these obstacles include: changing cellular card providers that have good signals, finding sources of learning materials in schools that have better signals, subsidising internet quotas from schools, communicating and motivating.
Some of Tahfiz houses which were built to teach memorising Quran have difficulty in choosing a method that is suitable for the psychological development of early childhood. This study aims to examine the method of memorising the Quran in terms of psychological theory. This study uses a qualitative systematic review method following PRISMA with stages: (1) Identification; (2) Screening; (3) Eligibility; and (4) Included. The three stages of reviewing journal articles are: searching for journal articles, mapping themes, and analysing based on inclusion criteria. The result is that there are two suitable methods for early childhood, namely Bayani based on the verbal mnemonic technique and Kaisa based on the mnemonic physical response. This finding is expected to be developed by further research and be useful for tahfiz houses teachers to choose the method of memorising the Quran for early childhood according to psychological development
This research describes the meaning of peace from the perspective of generation Z women. This generation is also called the millennial generation or today's young people. Z generation women are part of the current generation of young people, who certainly have different perspectives in interpreting peace in this country. There is sufficient evidence regarding the increasing attitude of intolerance among students and today's students. From a number of results of studies of high school students and college students it was revealed that 9.5% of respondents tended to be intolerant of minority groups. From the Campus Islamic Research it was found that 65% of student respondents supported sweeping actions carried out arbitrarily by radical Islamic mass organizations (Directorate General of Higher Education Ministry of National Education, 2007).This fact is interesting to examine further about how generation Z women interpret peace in this country. This research is applied qualitative research and uses the Interpretative Phenomenology Analysis (IPA) approach. The results show four main categories related to the meaning of peace from the perspective of generation Z women, namely making peace with themselves, not easily suspicious and prejudiced with others, respecting differences, and easily forgiving others.Â
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
