At the theoretical stage of the study, the foreign and Russian pedagogical theory, practices, standards and solutions to the stated research problem were analyzed. To confirm the effectiveness of the experimental results, methods of mathematical statistical analysis were applied and a special diagnosis was created, compiled in accordance with the Professional Standard of the teacher based on content analysis of the contents of the answers, in terms of the availability of linguistic units of positive and negative connotations. The practical part of the research involved the student scientific community of the Pedagogical Institute. Results. The article presents the results of the document analysis since the late 1940s to early 1970s devoted to the development of students’ research activities in pedagogic institutes. The author studied documents of three levels – the level of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, the level of relevant ministries and state organisations of a pedagogic orientation, the level of an institute. The documents were analysed in terms of the use of words in describing the process of formation and development of students’ research activities in pedagogic institutes, the frequency of these terms use at different time stages, their meaning and context of use. The author identifies several main categories of lexical units used: "person," "student activity/result", "form of presentation of the student activity result," "activity aimed at the student," "association," "characteristic of scientific work," "abstract concepts used to describe science." Analysis of each selected term category has been carried out. Based on the analysis, conclusions were drawn on the reflection of the peculiarities of each stage, allocated within the framework of internal periodisation, in the use of lexical units. In terms of words, a parallel is drawn with the modern meaning of the lexical unit, the features of the development of the object or the course of the process in the studied chronological period and nowadays are compared.
Physical development is one of the leading components of the health of each individual and people in general. In modern literary sources, there is more and more information about the deterioration of physical health and the decrease of this indicator of the young population of modern Russia, therefore, when assessing it, it is necessary to consider the body as a whole, taking into account its somatotype and component composition. In the Altai District there are practically no data on somatotyping of various age groups of the population. The purpose of this study is the component composition of the body of adolescents and young men living in the Altai District, to determine the frequency of their constitution types. The study involved 1086 males of a homogeneous ethno-territorial group, permanently residing in the Altai District, aged 13 to 20 years. The subjects were divided into three age groups: 13-14 years old, 15-17 years old and 18-20 years old. In each age group standard anthropometric measurements and a quantitative study of the main components of body mass were carried out. Body type (somatotype) was determined on the basis of the percentage of longitudinal and transverse body dimensions to standing height according by the Chernorutsky method using the Pinier index. It has been established that starting from the age of 15 there is a decrease in the average value of the proportion of the fat component of body mass with a simultaneous increase in muscle. According to constitutional features, the majority of 13–16-year-old examined adolescents ang young men have a normosthenic body type. By the age of 17, there is a predominance of asthenics over hypersthenics. At this age, fat mass decreases, which is probably associated with possible social stresses. In parallel with a decrease in fat mass, an increase in muscle mass is noted, up to the age of 20, however, at the age of 20, an increase in the fat component was detected. It is concluded that the majority of adolescents and young men in the Altay District have a normosthenic body type, which is characterized by average anthropometric indicators.
The article is devoted to the analysis of formation and development aspects of students’ research activity in pedagogical universities in the 1950s. The geographical boundaries of the study are the modern territory of the Volga Federal District. The period of the late 1940s and early 1950s was a stage of students’ science formation in universities. The student science society and the science circle became the main organizational forms of students’ research activity. Based on the study of the state and university normative documents, universities’ plans and reports of those years, the author draws conclusions about the main peculiarities of the organization of students’ scientific activity and problems of development of the direction. The basic requirements for a student science society member are described. The importance of such forms of work as review-competition of student scientific works and student scientific conference is considered. In addition, the author analyzes the subject matter of students’ research works and attempts to highlight several main areas of choice of the subject matter of research.
The article attempts to present a holistic view of the theory, practice and history of the development of public education in the modern Volga Federal District in the chronological framework of the second half of 19-20th centuries. In order to achieve the presented goal of the research, we used theoretical methods (analysis, synthesis, generalization, modeling, abstraction, classification, systematization, periodization) and historical and pedagogical methods of research, namely, comparison and contrast (comparativist), historical and structural and historical and typological. Within the geographical framework of the Volga Federal District as a complex sociocultural region with the cohabitation and interaction of different nationalities and confessions, the history of education in a holistic form has not been considered before. The authors proposed modern scientific and pedagogical methodological approaches to the analysis of the history of education of the region represented: pedagogical axiology, pedagogical regionalism, pedagogical comparativism, pedagogical synergetic, systemic-activity approaches. For the first time, the theory and practice of public education in the modern Volga Federal District are considered in the context of a unified historical and pedagogical process (without the traditional division into pre-revolutionary and Soviet stages). In addition to theoretical results of the historical and pedagogical research and practical: the formation of a bank of archival materials on the history of education in the republics and regions of the Volga Federal District; publication of the textbook “History of Public Education in the Volga Federal District”; publications in peer-reviewed journals devoted to the study of educational development in the Volga Federal District; organization and conduct of the Pedagogical Festival of Student Science of the Volga Federal District republics; as well as the preparation and production of a series of television programs about the history of the development of public education in the republics and regions of the Volga Federal District.
