Currently, there are still many people who are not aware of their disaster-prone areas. This is exacerbated by the lack of maximum community empowerment in disaster prevention and management. This study aims to determine the effect of the implementation of community-based disaster risk reduction (CB DRR) on the knowledge and skills of the community in disaster mitigation. This research is a quasi-experimental study, with a non-randomized control group pre-test - post-test design. The population and sample in this study were all community administrators who were aware of the disaster. The instrument used is a questionnaire that has been tested for validity and reliability. Research procedures include administrative procedures and technical procedures. Data processing is done through the process of editing, coding, scoring, processing, and cleaning. Data analysis techniques include univariate analysis, bivariate analysis (paired t-test), and multivariate analysis (General Linear Model Repeated Measure or GLM-RM). The p-value on the knowledge and skills variables were both 0.000 (<0.05). The value of the Greenhouse-Geisser sig analysis on the knowledge and skills variables has the same p-value of 0.000 (<0.05) or there is a difference in the average knowledge and skills of respondents after being given CB DRR training. Conclusion: The CB DRR program training influences the knowledge and skills of the community in carrying out disaster mitigation with a changing trend seen from the first measurement to the last measurement.
This community service aims to empower young women to prevent early reproductive health problems. The methods used in this community service activity are screening, lecture, discussion, simulation and practice. While the stages of problem solving are field observation, problem identification, solution offerings, activity design, implementation, evaluation and monitoring and integration. The results of these activities are age over 14 years (50.0%), menstrual periods up to 4 days (35.5%), changing pads two to 3 times per day (78.9%), height 140 to 150 cm (50.00 %), body weight of 30 to 45 kg (81.6%), the color of milk white mucus (81.6%), the amount of mucus that comes out is small (63.2%) and itching in the genital area is felt occasionally (68.4%). The implementation of community service is expected to produce an outcome in the form of the results of activities in an accredited journal with ISSN.
Nosocomial infections, known as Healthcare Associated Infections (HAIs), occur throughout the world. The patient's family has an important role in the prevention of Nosocomial Infection by improving handwashing behavior well, but the implementation of handwashing in the patient's family has not run optimally because many patient families do not know how to wash their hands properly. This study used a pre-experimental design with the design of one group pretest-posttest test design, the sample performance in this study was carried out by a Non-probability sampling technique with a purposive sampling analysis of this study using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. The subjects in this study were families of hospitalized patients in the Flamboyan Room Negara Hospital which numbered 92 people. The measuring instrument used in this study used a knowledge questionnaire on nosocomial infections. There were influences before and after the extension of the demonstration method with the family characteristics of inpatients, most of the education level was junior high school, with the most adult age range 26-45 with a male gender. There is an influence on the extension of the demonstration method on the knowledge of nosocomial infections and this counseling can increase the knowledge of families of inpatients in the Flamboyan Room Negara Hospital in 2019.
