The settlements in RW 3 and RW 4 of Bakau Besar Laut village, Sungai Pinyuh district, covers an area adjacent to two small industries, namely a shrimp farm and copra processing with no WWTP facility, generating domestic wastes that potentially pollute local settlements and farms. This research has the purpose of identifying the BOD, Grease and Fat contents in the settlement by testing the drainage water quality in the local settlements and farms. Grab Sampling method was used to sample the water, whereas Mann Whitney method served in statistical test. Result of analysis shows that BOD concentration in each drainage has surpassed the quality standard specified in Government Regulation (PP) no. 82 of 2001, but the Oil and Fat concentration did not surpass the same regulation. Based on the results of Mann whitney statistica test, it was found that the BOD, Grease and Fat content has a radius of 700 m > 1700 m (agricultural drainage) with sig value of 0.677 > 0.05; 500 m > 1500 m (inhabitants’ drainage) with sig value of 0.936 > 0.05. Recommendations include clean water treatment (PAM/drinking water company) with intake from Bakau Besar Laut river and garbage sorting based on their characteristics (e.g. organic, anorganic and toxic and hazardous), establishing WWTP (Waste Water Treatment Plant) for shrimp farms and copra processing industries as well as establishing animal waste-based Biogas processing plants as sources for fuel and compost fertilizers that can be reutilized by the people.Abstrak: Permukiman di RW 3 dan RW 4 Desa Bakau Besar Laut,Kec. Sungai Pinyuh, merupakan kawasan yang berdekatan dengan dua industri kecil yaitu tambak udang dan pengolahan kopra yang tidak memiliki [IPAL] dengan limbah domestik yang berpotensi mencemari permukiman dan pertanian di kawasan tersebut.Riset ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kadar BOD, Minyak dan Lemak di permukiman dengan menguji kualitas air drainase warga dan pertanian. Metode Grab Sampling digunakan untuk pengambilan sampel air dan metode Mann Whitney sebagai pengujian statistik. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa Konsentrasi BOD pada masing – masing drainase telah melewati standar baku mutu PP 82 tahun 2001 sedangkan konsentrasi Minyak dan Lemak tidak melewati standar baku mutu PP 82 tahun 2001. Berdasarkan hasil uji statistik Mann whitney didapatkan kadar BOD, Minyak dan Lemak diantaranya radius 700 m > 1700 m (drainase pertanian) dengan nilai sig 0,677 > 0,05; 500 m > 1500 m (drainase warga) dengan nilai sig 0,936 > 0,05. Rekomendasi berupa pengolahan air bersih (PAM) dengan intake yang berasal dari sungai Bakau Besar Laut, melakukan pemisahan sampah sesuai dengan karakteristik limbahnya yaitu organik, anorganik dan B3, mendirikan IPAL (Instalasi Pengolahan Air Limbah) untuk industri tambak udang dan pengolahan kopra serta mendirikan pengolahan Biogas berbahan baku limbah ternak sebagai sumber bahan bakar dan pupuk kompos organik yang dapat dimanfaatkan kembali oleh masyarakat.
Waste minimization is an effort to reduce the volume, concentration, toxicity, and hazard level of waste originating from the production process by reducing its source and / or utilizing waste. Shredded fish is a processed product in the form of fine and dry fish meat fiber where the manufacturing process is a combination of boiling and frying by adding spices. The amount of industrial production of tuna shredded typical of Pontianak every Saturday and Sunday can reach 5-10 kg (depending on the order) with attractive packaging which is sold for IDR 50,000 per 200 grams. In processing tuna shredded it produces waste such as head, bones, tail, skin , and entrails. The minimization of waste that is carried out is the waste of fish bones produced by shredded fish which is used to become flour which contains lots of calcium. Abon ikan adalah hasil olahan berupa serat daging ikan yang halus dan kering dimana proses pembuatannya merupakan kombinasi antara perebusan dan penggorengan dengan melakukan penambahan bumbu. Jumlah produksi Industri Abon ikan tongkol khas Pontianak setiap hari sabtu dan minggu bisa mencapai 5-10 kg (tergantung pesanan) dengan kemasan menarik yang dijual Rp50 ribu per 200 gram.Dalam Pengolahan abon ikan tongkol tersebut menghasilkan limbah seperti kepala,tulang,ekor, kulit, dan isi perut. Minimisasi limbah yang dilakukan adalah Limbah tulang ikan hasil produksi abon dimanfaatkan menjadi tepung yang banyak mengandung kalsium. Increased demand for processed sago has an impact on increasing sago starch production. The opportunity to produce sago flour is then used by some entrepreneurs to produce on a factory scale. Increasing competitiveness among entrepreneurs causes many aspects to be needed to improve marketing quality, including efforts to reduce waste generated from each production process. This study aims to identify the production process of sago starch and provide recommendations for waste minimization and clean technology in the sago flour industry. Interview methods and field observations were carried out in this study. The volume of waste generated in the production process of sago flour includes 10 kg of used sacks, 10 kg of spilled lamantak, 100 kg of sago dregs, 60 kg of spilled sago flour, 20 kg of burning ash and 50 kg of coarse sago flour. Liquid waste in the form of used water is 36,042 liters. Clean production methods that can be done are reducing the use of washing water, reselling used sacks into handicrafts, returning spilled flour and coarse sago flour to the demolition and dispensing basins, selling burning ashes, selling sago dregs for duck livestock feed and processing production liquid waste. using IPAL with a minimum capacity of 5,000 liters. The method offered can reduce the use of clean water by 2,358 liters of the total water requirement of 38,400 liters once produced
Cleaner production is an environmental processing strategy that is implemented on an ongoing basis to increase eco-efficiency in order to reduce risks to human health and the environment. The tofu industry in its production process produces waste, both solid and water. Disposal of waste directly to water bodies will damage the environment by creating unpleasant odors and the hot temperature of waste water which can affect the growth of aquatic biota. Tofu production produces 150 L of liquid waste from the soaking and filtering process. Meanwhile, 50 kg of solid waste is produced from milling soybeans. Abstrak Produksi bersih merupakan strategi pengolahan lingkingan yang diterapkan secara berkelanjutan untuk meningkatkan ekofisiensi agar dapat mengurangi resiko terhadapat kesehatan manusia dan lingkungan. Industri tahu dalam proses produksinya menghasilkan limbah, baik padat maupun air. Pembuangan limbah langsung ke badan air akan merusak lingkungan dengan timbulnya bau tidak sedap dan suhu air limbah yang panas dapat mempengaruhi pertumbuhan biota air. Produksi tahu menghasilkan limbah cair sebanyak 150 L dari proses perendaman, dan penyaringan. Sedangkan limbah padat yang dihasilkan sebanyak 50 kg yang berasal dari penggilingan kacang kedelai. Limbah padat akan dijadikan pakan ternak dan limbah cair akan diolah menjadi pupuk kompos cair. Kata Kunci : Industri Tahu, Produksi Bersih, Pupuk Kompos, Minimasi Limbah, Neraca Massa.
