En este artículo se presentan los fundamentos y experiencias de uso de dos sistemas que dan soporte a la creación y evaluación, respectivamente, de entornos de aprendizaje móviles adaptativos. En estos entornos, generados dinámicamente por el sistema CoMoLE, se recomiendan las actividades más adecuadas para ser realizadas por cada estudiante en cada momento, facilitándole así el aprovechamiento de su tiempo disponible; también se adapta la interfaz que da soporte a la realización de las actividades, seleccionando los contenidos y herramientas más apropiados en cada caso. Para ello, se consideran las características y necesidades del estudiante, sus acciones previas y el contexto en que se encuentra en ese momento. Sin embargo, es complejo evaluar cuán satisfactoriamente las recomendaciones y adaptaciones atienden las necesidades de cada usuario. Con el objetivo de evaluar entornos de enseñanza adaptativos, se diseñó el método GeSES que, utilizando técnicas de Minería de Datos, extrae, de los logs del sistema adaptativo, información sobre los puntos donde los estudiantes tuvieron mayores dificultades. Este método se ha utilizado para evaluar un entorno generado por CoMoLE. Los resultados obtenidos se presentan también en este artículo.
Currently many methods and tools are being developed to support e-Learning courses. On the one hand, they are used to help students. On the other, a few applications are being developed to help course designers and instructors. In addition, the development of this applications is important for improving the performance of the course. Thus, we proposed in this paper to use data mining methods to aid in the designing of adaptive courses and the evaluation of their effectiveness. Lastly, the results of the implementation of our tool and examples of the utility of Data Mining for teachers is given.
Recently, it has been suggested that the liquid fraction of anaerobic digestate, derived from the treatment of wastewater and solid wastes, could be used in vermicomposting as a solution to its disposal, and even for its valorization. Nevertheless, the literature does not provide enough information about its impact on the process of vermicomposting itself and on the final quality of the end-product. In this study, the effect of different doses of digestate in the vermicomposting process treating market waste is assessed measuring, earthworm population dynamics, the bacterial community succession present in the vermibeds as well as maturation and the end-quality of the vermicompost. Our results show that the addition of liquid digestate to the vermibeds increased the earthworms biomass, i.e. 71, 94 and 168% in control, and vermibeds with 30 and 60% digestate, respectively. Further, the increase in the amount of N in the vermicompost decreased as the digestate addition increased, i.e. 75%, 8%, 3%. The maturity achieved was high in all treatments as shown by the C/N ratio, 7.98, 7.40 and 10.20, and the high seed germination rate, above 90%. Finally, the succession of the microbial community was not disturbed and compositional stabilization was reached after 92 days.
