The main research purpose in this paper is to perform an in-depth analysis of the relationships between corporate entrepreneurship, organizational learning and knowledge, the topic mostly neglected by academicians so far. The main research objective is to conduct a comprehensive analysis and make a step forward in understanding the nature of interdependencies, expand the knowledge base and offer a more profound answer to the dilemma of how to make an organization more innovative and flexible, by using the internal cognitive potential. Qualitative research incorporates a descriptive study, a comparison and an innovative interpretation of the relevant scientific achievements. The main result indicates that the knowledge implementation results in various forms of corporate entrepreneurship, more specifically the application of technical knowledge, lead to product lines extension, the integrative initiating of a new platform development and the exploitative creating of a new business venture. Knowledge is not only a result of organizational learning and corporate entrepreneurship, but also the trigger of future entrepreneurial activities. The research implications refer to the improved contemplation of the corporate entrepreneurship concept from a theoretical standpoint, while the practical contribution lies in providing recommendations to managers on how to stimulate specific types of entrepreneurial initiatives through corresponding approaches to organizational learning and knowledge. Finally, the potential avenue of research is indicated in relation to entrepreneurship as a learning process.
The purpose of the paper is to explore employees? awareness of the entrepreneurial strategy in an organisation. We argue that employee awareness of the clarity and flexibility of entrepreneurial strategy differs depending on gender, age, seniority, education, and working experience. We provide a theoretical overview explaining the interaction between performance-oriented strategic management and entrepreneurship, based on organisational innovation. Our study delineates the specifics of a strategic approach to organisational-level entrepreneurship, explaining in depth the integration of entrepreneurship and strategy. The data was collected from a total of 39 managers and 50 employees holding non-managerial positions in 19 Serbian companies. The results of the analysis show a statistically significant difference in employees? awareness of the clarity and flexibility of entrepreneurial strategy, depending on gender, level of education, and seniority. The research presents empirically and theoretically substantiated evidence regarding the necessity to make entrepreneurial strategy an integral part of corporate strategy and to make employees aware of the relevance of strategy in achieving long-term competitive advantage. Based on these considerations the results are critically evaluated their implications and limitations are discussed, and avenues for further research are recommended.
The research goal is to explore how to transform organization, with conservative management, organizational structure and culture, into an entrepreneurial one. We hypothesize that organic organizational structure, entrepreneurial culture and appropriate management decisions are crucial for enhancing entrepreneurial initiatives. A relevant theoretical overview is provided, incorporating in depth analysis of investigated issues. This paper contributes by revealing the relevance of adjusting organizational design and management style, to make it more innovation friendly and compatible with needs of individual entrepreneurs in organization. Based on these considerations we note our conclusions, and suggest that academicians provide a more fine-grained depiction of firm-level entrepreneurship, as an avenue for future research.
