Background: In Indonesia there is an increase in the amount of medical waste. Medical waste is still not managed properly and the amount is very large.Previous studies conducted found that nurses had less behavior in disposing both medical and non-medical waste (58,3%). Hospital waste management carried out by nurses and medical personnel, must be done properly and carefully. Method: This research was an analytic survey research with cross sectional approach. The population of this study were 150 nurses in the Inpatient Ward of JIH Hospital Yogyakarta. The sampling technique was simple random sampling, amounting to 60 people. The research instrument used questionnaire. The data analysis technique used chi-square test and logistic regression. Result: Nurses knowledge mostly in sufficient category (55%). Nurses attitude mostly in supportive category (56,7%). Nurses behavior mostly in good category (50%). There was correlation between knowledge and medical waste behavior with significant value 0,030 (p<0,05). There was correlation between attitudes and medical waste behavior with significant value 0,019 (p<0,05). Conclusion: There were correlations of knowledge and attitudes to the medical waste behavior on nurses in inpatient ward of JIH hospital Yogyakarta.
Background : Diaper rash is a dermatitis eclusively localized in the diaper area, commonly attack children less than 2 years of age, usually conservatively cured by the parents so that only 7-35% babies suffer from diaper rash. Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO) that are beneficial to health, has been widely sought after to resolve health problems, also acts against bacteria and microbe. The Content of Medium Chain Triglycerides (MCT) in VCO hydrolyzed faster, and more quickly absorbed in the body tissue. Aim :The aim of this research is to determine the effect of Virgin Coconut Oil on prevention diaper rash. Methods : This research is pre-experimental with posttest only design. Conducted from May to June 2014. The research was done in Puskesmas Depok II Sleman area, with 14 respondents according to the determined criteria. Respondents were instructed to apply VCO in the diaper area once every morning after bath for 30 days. Data analysis used univariable analysis, bivariable analysis with Chi-Square test. Result :The results of the data obtained in this study was 78.6% of respondents regularly use VCO, but not experiencing diaper rash and there are 21.4% of respondents do not regularly use VCO and 14.3% had diaper rash. The results showed there was significant effect of VCO on prevention diaper rash with a significance p value = 0,003(p<0,05). Conclusion : Therefore it can be concluded that applying of VCO has a significant effective on prevention diaper rash. The use of VCO one time in the morning after a shower made for ≥21 days was more effective against the prevention of diaper rash compared with the use of VCO <21 days.
Introduction: Adolescents are individuals who experience a period of transition from childhood to adulthood. The inability of adolescents to control their emotions often leads to deviant behavior. Alcohol consumption behavior is currently a growing problem in the world of adolescents. Alcohol abuse occurs because alcohol is used to overcome psychological problems and stress in their lives, a person consumes alcohol as a way to escape because drunkenness makes it easy to forget the problem. This is dangerous because it can lead to alcoholism or dependence. Method: This writing uses a systematic review design. The data is taken from the science direct, proquest and google cendikia databases, with a period of 2016-2020. Search for journals and articles using the keywords Result: It was found that there is a significant relationship between stress levels experienced by adolescents and alcohol abuse. Because teenagers can not solve the problems they face so that it has a negative impact on alcohol consumption. Conclusion: Teenagers can be quickly influenced by negative things, especially from a bad environment, so that in the search for articles, more teenagers have problems from their families so that stress levels are higher. So there needs to be a role for parents in overcoming the bad effects of stress experienced by teenagers.
