In the study titled Procrastination, stress in academic engagement in Medicine students of a private university, the objective is to establish the relationship between procrastination and stress in the academic engagement of Medicine students of a private university according to sex and age. The approach used was quantitative, descriptive method, and basic. The population was 1904 Medicine students of the private university, the sample was 320 Medicine students, a stratified probability sampling method was used. The technique used was the survey and the instrument was the questionnaire for three variables. The investigation concluded that: 27.8% of students had a low procrastination level, 48.1% had an average low level, 22.5% had an average high level, and 1.6% had a high level of procrastination. As for academic stress, it was found that 39.7% of students had a mild level, 45.6% had a moderate level and 14.7% had a severe academic stress level. As for academic engagement, it was found that 52.8% of students had a low level, 35.3% had an average level and 11.9% had a high level.
The research entitled Flipped classroom as a didactic strategy to develop self-regulated learning in university students, was carried out in order to verify the effectiveness of the use of the flipped classroom strategy in the development of self-regulated learning. The type of research was applied, taking into account a quantitative approach, with an experimental, quasi-experimental design; where a program was applied with the use of the didactic strategy and, for self-regulated learning, a questionnaire before and after the application of the independent variable. The population consisted of 200 students from the III cycle of the education career of a public university. The technique will be the survey and, the instrument, a questionnaire for the validated dependent variable; through expert judgments and reliability with a pilot test. For the results, the Mann Whitney U test was applied, where it is concluded that the flipped classroom program influences self-regulated learning in students; since highly significant differences were found (z = –12.004; p <0.000).
El objetivo del estudio fue determinar la relación entre las estrategias de afrontamiento y la sobrecarga en internos de medicina de una universidad privada en el manejo de pacientes con patologías crónicas. El estudio fue cuantitativo de diseño correlacional, cuya muestra fueron 207 internos, a quienes se les aplicó dos cuestionarios, el de Brief COPE-28 para evaluar los estilos de afrontamiento y la Escala de Sobrecarga del Cuidador de Zarit para medir la sobrecarga sobre el manejo de pacientes con patologías crónicas. Se concluyó que existe relación significativa (sig=0,000 < 0,05 y Rho=0.581) entre las estrategias de afrontamiento y la sobrecarga en el manejo de pacientes con patologías crónicas en los internos de medicina de una universidad privada, 2021.
Environmental awareness is the constant articulation that exists between man and his environment. For this, the human being relies on his experiences, wisdom and praxis. The objective was to describe the levels of environmental awareness of students of the health career. The approach was quantitative, of a substantive type and a non-experimental, transactional design. For this study, the sample consisted of 500 students drawn through probability sampling. The technique used was the survey and the instruments were the questionnaire on a Likert scale, Cronbach's alpha. Regarding the conclusion, it was found that 45.8% of all students presented unacceptable levels of environmental awareness. Of 20 years, 42% of the female gender presented an unacceptable level of environmental awareness, while men, 28.2% of unacceptable level of environmental awareness. From 21 to 23 years old, 11.4% presented an unacceptable level. Regarding students over 24 years of age, 6.2% presented an unacceptable level.
The consumption of harmful substances in society implies a great social and individual problem affecting the public health of people, making people psychologically affected, showing harmful and suicidal behaviors. The objective of this theoretical review is to identify the psychosocial factors of the consumption of illicit and addictive substances, drugs, as well as explain what the risk factors are and determine the psychosocial consequences of this problem. The methodology used was based on the PRISMA statement for a systematic review and scientific databases such as the Web of Science, Scopus and Scielo. According to the results, 25 investigations in English and Spanish were selected in which etiological factors of drugs were identified. Drug use represents a social problem, which for a long time has caused different types of havoc in the lives of children and adolescents, so through this essay we will learn more about the information regarding drugs. The study concludes that drug use has many negative effects on the health of any person, these negative consequences not only affect the consumer; but also to their closest environment.
