AbstrakTulisan ini bertujuan untuk membahas panggilan guru Kristen sebagai wujud amanat agung Yesus Kristus dalam penanaman nilai pada era digital. Tugas utama seorang guru dalam konteks pendidikan Kristen adalah membantu para siswa untuk belajar mengenal Allah di dalam Yesus Kristus dan melalui firmanNya. Mereka dapat menjadi serupa dengan Kristus dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Oleh sebab itu penting sekali mahasiswa menangkap panggilanNya sebagai Guru Kristen, karena dengan demikian akan menjadi rekan sekerja Allah dalam menyampaikan nilai-nilai kerajaanNya di era digital yang sarat dengan egoisme, mementingkan diri sendiri, bahkan merasa diri benar, sehingga kasih menjadi pudar. Dengan demikian, pengajaran yang disampaikan guru Kristen akan membawa para siswa memiliki nilai-nilai kebenaran yang justru kembali kepadaTuhan dan berpusat kepada Kristus, yang berdampak kepada pertumbuhan karakter intelektual, spiritual, intelegensi tidak hanya menjadi kebanggaan sendiri melainkan dipakai untuk melayani dan menolong orang lain dalam menghadapi era digital ini.Kata kunci: Panggilan, guru Kristen, amanat agung Yesus Kristus, penanaman nilai, digital era
AbstractThe purpose of this paper is to discuss a Christian teacher's calling in response to the great commission of Jesus Christ in building character in digital era. The main task of a teacher in the context of Christian education is to assist students in knowing God in Jesus Christ and being like Christ in their daily lives. Christian teachers become co-workers with God in conveying the values of His kingdom in a digital era that is filled with individualism, selfishness, and self-righteousness, all of which lead to the loss of love. Radicalism is one of the major threats to Indonesian unity which has a diversity of ethnicities, religions and races. Some research shows that radicalism can thrive in the environment of high school students. This is most likely to occur, considering high school students are in the phase of determining identity. Therefore, this study was conducted to find out how much an indication of the influence of radicalism on Karawaci Christian High School students. Research subjects were high school students from two Christian schools in Karawaci, Tangerang. The research method used is a survey. The results showed that the indication of radicalism towards students in the Karawaci Christian school was 37% of intolerance practices had occurred among students, 31% for fanatical action, then 32% exclusive attitude and 27% students doing destructive. The largest percentage was found in indicators of intolerance to race and ethnicity. Based on this, it can be concluded that indications of the influence of radicalism on Lippo Karawaci Christian High School students are still categorized as safe enough, but it does not rule out a significant increase if the school allows the intolerance attitude to occur.
Discipline is an important aspect that every student should have, to achieve the learning objectives. Discipline, however, is often found as a problem in the classroom. This problem was found in grade VIII SMP Lentera Harapan Lampung Tengah students in Integrated IPS subjects. To solve the problem, in this research applied reward and punish to improve student discipline of class VIII. The reward form applied is in the form of praise, tape reward, and sign strengthening (certificate), while the punish form is the cutting of time and cost to be paid, with modifications called 'red box'. The methodology used in this research is Classroom Action Research method. The subjects of the study were students of class VIII with a total of 14 people, consisting of 11 men and 3 women. The results of the study on student discipline levels obtained from this study is the first cycle 69.8%, 83.4% and third cycle 93.8%. It can be concluded that the application of reward and punish can improve the discipline in Integrated Social Science subjects in the seventh grade students of SMP Lentera Harapan Lampung Tengah.
The COVID-19 pandemic has affected the education system, namely new normal learning; therefore, a contextual learning model is needed in accordance with the needs students, namely Gen-Z. The research method uses the literature reviews obtained through books, articles, and journals. The results of the research are that social studies-history learning in the new normal era is a new challenge for teachers, where they have to make use of social media in dealing with the generation that is close to the Internet, which results in shaping their character as the generation that is creative, innovative, and broad-minded. Therefore, learning provided is student-centered learning, and involves learning conducted online or offline. This research concludes that in building the social studies-history learning system for Gen-Z in this new normal situation, it requires a change in the curriculum that is flexible, innovative, and creative, and according to the students’ model called Gen-Z.
