High pressure density behaviors for fluid mixtures made of carbon dioxide with solvent, methyl acetate, ethyl acetate, 2-propyl acetate, methanol, 1-propanol, or 2-propanol, at 313.15 K were satisfactorily correlated. The standard deviations were between 0.4 and 2.2 kg m -3 in density for each system in the composition range from 0.00 to 0.95 mole fraction of carbon dioxide.
Volumetric behavior was measured of carbon dioxide + butan-1-ol mixtures at 313.15 K using a vibrating tube density meter. The saturated pressures were also measured of carbon dioxide + butan-1-ol mixtures at 313.15 K by the conventional synthetic method. The equilibrium vapor compositions were newly evaluated by combining the molar volume equation, the experimental values of the equilibrium vapor density, vapor density of pure carbon dioxide, and pressure.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
